From what I've heard, someone changed the "other" option in a poll to "otter" and then somehow a duck got into there as well because hey, one more aquatic animal won't do any difference.

No, now imagine it getting into your boatshed and excreting all over your family's 2 1920's varnished wooden boats, leaving dead half-eaten fish and scales all over everything. Now imagine spending a whole weekend cleaning the boats instead of using them. Now realise that otter excrement is extremely corrosive and will strip deck paint and varnish from the boats and permanently chemically stain the mahogany underneath. Realise it's got into the sail bag and has excreted all over a complete suit of sails, which are extremely expensive and have to be professionally cleaned, which is again expensive. Now realise that otters are (in the UK) a protected species and you're unable to do anything "that may possibly harm the otter in any way" to prevent the boats being ruined. The next time you go, you have to repeat the procedure. </rant>

These are the ducks that live near my house.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjkXItG0r40

The duck in the video is my personal favourite. If you are feeding them and you forget him he comes and bites your leg and shakes the material to get your attention. If you are wearing shorts, this hurts a lot.
