I'm so happy right now.

I just stumbled upon some really old high school yearbooks online and found photos of my Great Aunt Betty from when she was an office secretary there.

Oh, I did get around to finishing the series. I thought it was really good overall, but the finale left me wanting. Also, the super obvious Christian overtones were a bit annoying.

Yeah, the finale was not perfect. I still enjoy it a lot, though. Yeah, I'm not quite sure what to think about the Christian overtones. I'm not going to hate a show just because it's Christian, though. It's not like Christianity is entirely lacking in insight, either. No matter what, I find Christians committing violence badass because it makes no damn sense (based on the Bible at least. It makes perfect sense from human nature). That's why I like Boondock Saints and Hellsing. For this, I guess the Christian overtones are obvious, but they are not overwhelming or obtrusive, if you get my poorly communicated meaning. Overall, the morality in the show I think is kind of wonky, but it certainly is friendly, and the complex characters and situations are in no way diminished by the fact that Christianity was included as part of the show. Then yet again, on the other hand, I really think that Christian churches (rather than Christianity as an abstract concept) being peaceful is a lie, so I can see being pretty annoyed with it.

Public transportation being in a massive CF because of the big festival in town? Not cool. Taking a 6-mile walk to the store and back with a complete stranger and buying pantyhose, dowels and hot chocolate (among other things) with them? Pretty awesome.

Failed to start (not the awesome part). Sputtered for one second, and then died. Never fully started. Turned the key several times unsuccessfully. Checked under the hood. Tried the key again. Flashed "Service Vehicle". Told me to gather up my items and prepare to walk home (not very far, but a considerable distance while walking).

Requested an attempt to start the vehicle. Purred to life. No warning lights or messages. Stared at dashboard, dumbfounded. Cited the Konami Code (despite not doing the full cheat). Returned home and tried the ignition key. Functioned normally all three times.

Significantly improved my mood.

Legend has it that Douglas Adams had that couch in his apartment which could not be disassembled and put back together and baffled others for years when they couldn't figure out how to get rid of it or even how it got there in the first place.
Spoiler:
The answer was it got moved in at a time when construction work in the stairway was underway, so there was a launch window of a few weeks of getting it in or out.

P.S.:
That of course doesn't make the Volkswagen any less awesome.

Suddenly I have to think of this story my dad told me. One of his friends was asked to look after a car for this guy who was going on a holiday. Said friend rounded up some more friends and took the car apart, and put it back together in Holiday Guy's living room. He thought his car had been stolen when he came back from his holiday, and was stunned for a whole minute when he saw his car in his living room.

I heard that some MIT students used a similar method to get a police car on top of the main rotunda.

I must learn more about cars simply for the purpose of being able to do this at will.

MAGIC.

nah actually, the chassis on a bug is not that big to begin with, just turn it to the side and it will fit in most places. i did have to respackle a few walls though lol. would have been easier with a second person.

the main thing about cars is just remember how you dissasembled it, and you can always reassemble it. if you just forget, then your gonna be confused.
