New Year's Resolution

Postby You, sir, name? » Sat Dec 12, 2009 4:58 pm UTC

Pretty self-explanatory, but important survey over people's new year's resolutions.

Otter?

Either 240x260, or 2560x1024, depending on where I am.

Yup, 1440x900. Boo. I still need to save up for a second screen.

Also, about non-screen resolutions... those don't really work for me anyways =)

Re-created the poll with two new options.

You need to add a 1024x600 option for us netbook users.

Probably carry on rockin' the 1440 x 900 look to be honest...

Might kick it old skool and go for 800 x 600, just for old time's sake - back like it was in 2000 (which was TEN years ago  )

I think that's roughly one eight of my current screen area. Though font size is significantly bigger now then back then.

It's kind of unfair to ask this question before Christmas / Hanukkah finish. Afterall, I think it's pretty common for people to change their resolutions after all the feestivities of the holiday season...

Mine wasn't on there, so I picked the closest one. (It was only 6 pixels off, so I figure it's close enough to vote for it.)

I've got 1360x768

Voted for 1366x768

Should I feel cheated? does everyone else with this resolution have those 6 pixels that I lack?

I have just one regular screen, so 1280x1024. Unfortunately sometimes at work I must switch to 1024x768 or even the horrible 800x600 to check various software, but it makes the transition back to normal resolution much more pleasant.

The poll allows for re-voting, so that's no prob.

My monitor is designed for 1366x768, but unfortunately, that resolution doesn't seem to be supported by my graphics card, so I, too, lack those 6 pixels.

I'm hoping at some point next year to finally finish my C64 VT100 emulator, with 80x25 colour text mode, so that's got my vote.

Huh, I thought C64's had 40x25, and not 80x25.

Wow. Just amazing that there are still screens under 400w/h.

I'll probably still be at 1680x1050, but I could really do with a new bigger resolution. Visual studio makes me go "NEED MORE SPACE! ARGH!"

My laptop is 1280x800; my TI-84 is 96x48, and I have no idea about my -89.

1280 x 800 as well.

I don't know what the downstairs one is. It's old so probably 800 x 600.

1600*900 + 1920*1080. I reject your arbitrary resolutions and choose to substitute my own.

I wonder how many people get new monitors for Christmas or spend money they got for Christmas on a new monitor, and thus have to revote.
