What are you looking forward to in the next few days?

Postby the tree » Sat Dec 12, 2009 6:17 pm UTC

So I just realised that I have a fair amount to look forward to in the immediate future:

I have a couple of essays to do but they are for modules that don't really matter so I can fun with them, on Tuesday I am hosting an open mic poetry night (I shall be bugging the venue to give me free drinks for that), I have a presentation to do for another class on Wednesday, for me the term ends on Thursday which is approximately when I should receive my student loan for aforementioned term (apparently someone up there has a sense of irony) and on Friday I am having a Christmas dinner with my housemates before going to my parents on Saturday for well, Christmas. This should be a pretty enjoyable week, possibly moreso than the actual Christmas week which will be just incredibly crowded.

What about you? How are your next few days looking?

I have one week left of my first term of uni, only one assignment that needs to be completed before then which I am virtually done with.
So I don't have much to worry about, and on friday, I go home! Which I am excited for as it's been 12 weeks since I saw my family.

I am generally looking forward to this Christmas period the most as I will be back home with all my friends and so on which will be really good.

Winter break starting, hanging out with my friend, adding some more space to my Windows partition so I can install some new games, installing Arch Linux.

Christmas Band concert. Our lead snare drummer got suspended for chocolate theft, but it can still go well. And if he is gone long enough, then I will become lead snare. He just needs to develop an 'illness.' *disturbing bellicose laugh*
And two and a half weeks without education. I'll finally be done with the incompetent teacher Mr. Turnover, and I won't have to freeze in the windowless, piss-yellow colored school building I'm forced to attend. As an added bonus, I'll get to enjoy christmas dinner, with the delicious specimen that is Creme Brulee.

Tomorrow morning when I wake up i'll know whether or not the realtor, title company, lawyer, and co-owners of the property actually got all their paperwork done so that we can sign the final papers and buy a house!

A book about quantum field theory will arrive in the mail shortly. Oh, and I think my birthday is like next week or something, but I can never keep track of that.
I edit my posts a lot and sometimes the words wrong order words appear in sentences get messed up.

Man, I hate to be a grump, but not a lot. I really don't have much money, therefore I have to face the double whammy of buying Christmas gifts and having to take time off from work.

Tomorrow I end my one week vacation. It was fantastic and wonderful to return to Denver for a week, but I am SO looking forward to getting HOME and cuddling up with my boyfriend and fall asleep safe and warm in his arms.

Winter break is nearing. I get to hang out with a friend from the fora I haven't seen in a long while. Holidays and free time and all that jazz seems pretty nice too :3
