This poll needs to have a "New Zealand" and an "Other" option

Hehe, don't we usually steal you guys, anyway?

I mean, Russell Crowe, Crowded House, Phar Lap... Our geography teacher (so, four years ago) even told us that more New Zealanders live over here than in New Zealand.

Well, that's improving the IQ of both countries :P

At least the Aussies who voted should have posted here so we can tell who they are. And cheer them! Go Aussie!

And hooray for finally winning the cricket Champion's Trophy last night!

Well, obviously I voted aussie :P

I'm hesitant to add a new zealand option, because it'd be something like "Kiwi, and we love sheep" which would, you know, offend some people.

Well that all depends on how awesome you are. And also, you may have to pass some sort of written culture test in the mid-future. Or marry an Australian. I think. I have no idea?

You're going to have to be pretty awesome...

And yes! Culture test! I remember that on one of those Current Affair shows. Questions like "What do you call a person with red hair?" "What's the national emergency number?" and "What's the national flower emblem?"

I can see the relevance, even importance of basic English skills and knowing things like calling 000 and that women are considered equal (another question they asked), but calling people Bluey and waving some wattle around probably isn't going get you so far.

Wattle they think of next...

EDIT: YES OK I stole that from a paint commercial.

Might i just say that I do not love sheep. I am quite the city slicker. i was in the country on the weekend and there's nothing there. At all. And nowhere open at 4 in the morning. And all I had for company was a bunch of underage unattractive girls. Anyhow, my point is, sheep are kinda funny, but I don't love them. That's what boys are for :P

Would some Australian like to marry me, so that I can be Australian? I am pretty awesome, but bad at written tests. Marriage is probably my only option.

Does this photo have to be displayed to the entire board? What are the stipulations here? (I sure hope I am pretty enough to marry into Australia!)

Well it's mostly Australians and New Zealanders in this thread anyways.

Okay! Here is me being ... I'm not sure. I really ... I just have no idea. But it looks like I was having fun. And touching my butt, too.

Image

Okay, and here is me sitting on a counter. You know. Hanging out there, eating my sucker. I am also having fun in this picture, but not touching my butt. My face looks kind of weird.

Image

Edit: So wait. Am I getting married or not? (Probably not, but I am pretty okay with that by now.)

Mark up one Aussie.

'Sif you not find somebody, Rachel.

Besides, you are supposed to be coming out here for Winter in July next year :P

That is the plan! Assuming I have money for a trip to Australia. I might not. Then I would have to postpone to your summer/my winter or something.

... Way to repeat yourself :-)

Sometimes I touch my butt and it isn't for fun. Like when I sit too much at work and it is numb. Or ... I don't know. If it gets itchy? I'm not sure. Usually touching my butt/people touching my butt is a pretty okay thing.

Posted: Tue Nov 07, 2006 6:37 am UTC

I usually find that whenever butt-touching occurs, whether it be for fun or not, fun usually ensues regardless.

It was a good try, though. Good job! High fives! If this were football we could pat each other on the butt. Why do they do that? Seriously, could someone tell me? You're all smart people. One of you must know.

I always assumed it was because they were gay. Y'know, because sporting folk are tolerant of that sort of thing; they're role models, after all. I don't know, I'm really not that into sport.

Posted: Tue Nov 07, 2006 7:39 am UTC
by moopanda
What sort of football are we talking about? Because, you know, in soccer they often go a lot further than a simple pat on the bum.

Actually I've gotta say the sport with the most bum patting that i can think of is cricket. And I watch a lot of sport.

Posted: Tue Nov 07, 2006 7:48 am UTC

They go a bit too far in rugby. It's one thing to pat someone on the butt, but to get 20 men and put them in a scrum where they try and shove their heads up someone else's butt? Yeah...

SUPER SECRET PS TO RACHEL:

Heeey.... </Fonzie>

Posted: Tue Nov 07, 2006 7:57 am UTC

To be fair the front rowers don't have their heads up anyone's butt.

Posted: Tue Nov 07, 2006 9:50 am UTC

no, they're just necking with the guy opposite.

Woo! First base! ... I never really understood the "base" system. For example, where is shoving your head up someone else's butt? I'm going guess that it's in the dugout?
