Ha! Holy shit, I never noticed this. And the Sound of Music is one of my favourite films. I will have to rewatch it to verify this.

Up until this comment, I thought a woodchuck was a bird, also. I distinctly recall a copy of the Beano, or perhaps the Dandy depicting one as a hefty bird (throwing a stick). How bizarre.

Sorry, I read on wiki that it was a type of land-beaver. Hence the confusion there.

Land-beaver's like catamount - just a different name for something, not a separate something.

Ok, I stand very much corrected. They are definitely not birds though being small fluffy creatures of the (as I now know) marmot variety.

FTFM.

I also don't know the real words, because my brain SCREAMS the fake ones at me any time I hear the tune.

I just really wanted to post that. But you're right I'm really unsure of the real lyrics now. Hmm.

I always thought it was Orientar. But I think it should be 'orient are'?

I thought the Leamington Spa variant was strictly local, being as I live there.

I just realized that the reason the sound effects to the scenes in Pick of Destiny are so obtrusively loud is because you're supposed to hear them, not see them. That was always a complaint I had against the movie, then my friend was playing Beelzeboss at his house and it dawned on me. D'oh.

I have bald spots on my legs! On the outside of both calves, just below the knee, there's hand sized bald spots! I'd never noticed that until the other day while I was doing dead-lifts. They must've been there my whole life and sure enough they're smooth as if I shaved there, yet surrounded on all sides by thick black hair.

I have similar but on the inside of my thighs just above the knee, the bald patches used to be further up the thigh but seem to have shifted down and now the areas that used to be bald are now hairy. Mabe in a few years mine will move down to below my knees like your's are. :P
