I think they teach that in schools in Georgia. I've had a number of people talk to me about that.

I can't pronounce the name of the thing I'm on. I'm not even sure I'm talking to anyone.

It's alright, buddy. You'll wake up in about five minutes, and go "damn, a dream where I just talked to some kid on the internet? That's incredibly boring, but I guess it wasn't a bad dream, so I'll go back to sleep and continue my dream*"

I can, but they take very different directions when I try to. I've turned a nightmare into a sex dream that way. It's sad when the dream has a plot that suddenly dissolves into a falling dream.

I've had dreams with epic storylines where I'm disappointed when I wake up because then I don't know what will happen next. Will they survive? What new monster will they encounter? Are they going to save the day and find the girl? Since I don't think I've ever continued a dream, I never do find out.

I do that sometimes, but I find there's always something different in the continuation. It'll be roughly the same situation, but the location may have changed, or the time, or the people I'm with.

This,

It's nearly always worse for me though, since I go back to sleep annoyed that I had to wake up.

I don't know about you guys, but I can continue a dream over multiple nights if I want to, with slight variations depending on how I happen to feel that day.

Ye gods, I just discovered this thread and read it all in one sitting. Now I know lots of pointless things + have no one to tell them to because it's nearly 1am. Joy.

Not fun trivia but a life HHINNTB

At the library I work at, we received a new educational kids computer. I have been daily interacting with this thing for weeks. Yesterday, while helping an 8 year old with a technical problem, he showed ME that the monitor is a touch screen Me: "Oh....wow...It's a TOUCH SCREEN? I didn't know that!" and then the kid looked at me like I was a complete moron. I kind of am. Also, I now feel like i'm in the future. (When did run of the mill computer monitors go touch? How the hell did I miss this?)

I've occasionally repeated dreams, usually months or weeks apart. Often very similar, but they start to diverge if I realise it's a repeat.

Don Adams, who played Maxwell Smart in the Get Smart TV series, voiced Inspector Gadget in the original cartoons.

I first noticed it when watching the Inspector Gadget *movie*, where he has a small voice cameo at the end.

"Percent" means "out of 100." The word, I mean, not the concept. I knew the concept for a long time, but never realized what the word literally meant until I saw it written as "per cent."

Resin and resonate /don't/ share etymology. I had thought resin is what you put on a bow to make the strings resinate. Never thought to consider the spelling.

All the Magic cards that are Foriysian take their name from the Two-Headed Giant of Foriys. I knew that, but have only just noticed that Foriys / Foriysian can be read "four-eyes" / "four-eyes-ian". Two heads... four eyes. GROAN.

The last villain in Dragonball Z was called Buu. He was created by a magician named Babidi, who was the son of Bibidi.
Put them together and what do you get?
