Actual flutes or flute-players? (Actually, we tried that once. Three flutes +piccolo; luckily the tuba was a school horn, because we did scratch it up a little. Bari saxes hold more though.)

Hmmmm... instrument picture... I play the flute as well (woot!) as do... let's see... four of my best friends in the world. We're only crazy in a very friendly, eccentric, nerdy way--not neurotic at all. My friend who plays bassoon, however--anal if I ever knew anyone who was; my friend who plays oboe--probably ought to be committed (danger to herself and others).

Calc extra-credit?! (*Jealousy*) But yeah... stop having stuff in common with me. It's getting weird. First the intro thread stuff, now taking Calc and playing flute... hmm...

Ooh, band jokes! Always the classic:
Q: How do you get a drummer off your porch?
A: Pay him for the pizza!

Now a few our band has come up with:
Q: How do get a section of piccolos to play in tune?
A: Shoot them until you only have one left! (Still no guarantees though)

Q: What is a bassoon on fire good for?
A: Setting more bassoons on fire!

(We're not overly fond of our bassoonist - it's nothing against bassoons themselves)

Doesn't mean that Gordon won't be mad.

They didn't change the rules so much as "forgot" to set them at the start.

I think there were originally rules (or there was going to be), but then it was decided that they sucked. Maybe they're more like guidelines than actual rules.

...So follow the dang guidelines and post pictures, someone! :P

On the subject of musical instruments... I play the drums, I think I win on loudness. I own a particularly loud drumkit, which is a bit unfortunate (especially as I'm a pretty loud drummer), it's physically painful to be near it without hearing protection. Noise is fun :D

Speaking of noise, guess where I went at the weekend...

Yes, it's really quite strange. ô¸ó

My calc teacher gives a fair bit of extra credit opportunity, but not tons; it's a good balance... you get a couple of bonus points for having a picture of you with your calc textbook in a location 100 miles away or more--he has pictures of people in France, Japan, Germany, Italy, various places in Latin America... it's great.

Oh, by the way: ô¸ó <-- That's Cedric. He's an emoticon I created to represent when I have one eyebrow raised (another forum I'm on doesn't have a raised-eyebrow smiley, and I've become quite fond of Cedric so I continue using him).

You went to see Muse, eh? Bastard! :)

I almost bought tickets for September, but realized I'd be in Florida at the time. Poo on that. At least I got to see them once a few years ago even though I only knew Absolution and none of their earlier stuff at the time. Great show though.

I've got a copy of String Quartet's tribute to Muse (among others).... That rocks.

To Hermaj's reply, the record label is Vitamin. I also have SQ's Tribute to:
A perfect circle
Incubus
Aerosmith
AFI
Atreyu
Bon Jovi
Evanescence
G'n'R
Linkin Park
My Chemical Romance
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Iron Maiden
Slayer (Die by The Sword done as strings?? Awesome!)
and Underoath

I also have A Piano Tribute to Korn ("Daddy" done on piano is just creepy....)

A SQ tribute to Muse? sounds like it could be very good or very shit....
