@Incompetent: I'm very happy with my glasses which are half-rimed. They have a good balance between sturdyness and lightness. Do remember that when you go rimless or half-rim the glass/plastic usually has to have a minimum thickness which means you can't have the highest quality och glass/plastic, ie the ones that can be made really slim.

Anyway, I'll toss my vote in with the thin-rimmed glasses crew, although I don't mind the ones you have now.

Ooh! Yes please! :)

@Everyone: thanks again for the advice. I think I'll go for half-rimmed metal frames - it's a good balance, plus I get to look even more like Coin, which should be fun at meetups.

Love the top; depending on how formal your work is supposed to be maybe you need to wear it with slightly smarter bottoms? Or maybe a nice pair of shoes will jazz it up sufficiently.

Thanks moo! I love the top too, I was just drawn to the colour, which is odd because I wear a LOT of black (I need to get the black is slimming, black is your friend mantra out of my head!) You basically echoed my thoughts on the bottoms, too. I can't do heels in summertime though, they just make my legs too heavy and overheat me (is that odd? maybe I'm just very unfit?!) Maybe a wee skirt might be better.

Other than that, I agree with Moo that the colour is fantastic on you, and I think gaucho pants would go nicely.

have you thought about maybe a wedge rather than something like a pencil heel, they tend to be easier on the calves and such, about the tie up shoes with those bottoms, i think it would look liek there was too much going on down there. maybe if the bottoms rode more at the knee than the calf. i would suggest something like a strappy sandal. something like this maybe?

Thanks guyyys!

It was Antigone, and since the play only has about four or five parts and there were a bunch of people in the cast, my director created several parts by taking and mincing words from other parts. So I was Kreon's Public Relations Secretary, loosely based on Sarah Palin. I followed him around everywhere, was a cold, snide bitch, and got to get completely wasted in one scene (don't worry, it was just peach iced tea, unfortunately), which was mad fun.
