You're cute (in a heterosexual way). :D I like your glasses and shirt. Oh, have you guys seen this shirt before? You might appreciate it:

I have seen that shirt! I was that close to buying it but I bought this one instead.

Oh, I love that one! Hilarious. This is kind of weird; I just placed my first order at Threadless today. I just had to have Playground love (http://www.threadless.com/product/892/Playground_Love). I love the physics graph superimposed over kids playing... and flying a satellite. It had a certain xkcdness ^_^

I have never actually been to Melbourne, but the idea of a pirate club is awfully enticing, I mean, it is not like I have anywhere to wear this hat in Newcastle.

No, definitely not gay.

its so true, alisto. this is roughly what i thought Corrina looked like when i seduced her. alas. it was dark, and i was pissed. (i chose the pirate picture because i met a similar-looking but rather less attractive young lady on a pirate club cruise. we were both in costume. good times)

We probably do have mutual friends, or friends who know friends who know friends, or something of the sort. It is possible that you don't recognise me because I am one of those geeky people that only surfaces for food and showers - I don't exactly go out much.

Yeah. At the time I saw Silent Horror, my skin was less....good, too. And my hair was *much* longer.

It helped that our voices and mannerisms are similar, too. The whole thing added up to the very creepy impression that I was sleep-walking to x-strike studios and participating in video game parodies/tributes without my knowledge.

hee hee hee. Yeah. I mean that look you're giving the camera is very Steve. But do you play table top D&D? Steve is a self-professed oat meal cookie. A slightly twisted oatmeal cookie, but oatmeal cookie none the less. Are you an oat meal cookie?

Also, this pic is from 2003. My hair hasn't been that long in years.

There is either slang here that I don't understand, or else there is absurdism occuring.

If it's the latter, then count me in.

Oatmeal cookie, sort of a well meaning, generally trustable, all around good guy. The illusion of innocence is often part of it, not such an illusion that he is not actually trust-worthy, but more like, someone who generally saves sexual inuendo for really good jokes. Not that Steve really does that. He's just kind of cuddly, but not like a teddy bear, more like a stuffed animal gorilla. Anyway, Steve coined the adjective and I have since used it, generally referring to people who are much more square than he, but he's the original.
