Nah, it's actually fairly thin hair, despite the mass quantities of it, so I just French-braid it and/or tie it in a bun just above the nape of my neck.

Braiding sounds like it would look awesome :) Though it would definitely kill me in 40+ centigrade regardless.

Can you plait other people's hair? If so, try tying yours in a low ponytail, and then dealing with yours the way you would deal with someone else's.

That's the problem, GG, when i try to plait hair it all escapes and I can't separate it properly and then when I try to plait it the 3 parts intermingle and then I give up.
I will write 'plait practice' on my arm and bother my long haired friends :)

I had to google plait hair. Over here, we just call that a braid.
I am now less confused.
(I can braid, inverse braid, french braid, and I used to be able to rope braid but I can't remember...however, I have a hard time doing it on my own hair.)

I can't get the hang of the french braid. Dunno why, I just can't do it. I do however braid my hair all the time, because it's got the neat ability to stay in a braid without a hair tie. I usually either do a braid of the front/top, or a braid of the whole thing, or pigtails. I also at one point could do four and five part braids of my hair, but that ability died a few years back.

Zero & Cassi - I am so jealous I want a brain MRI done. I had an MRI on my knee, but that's boring. And I don't have the photos. Also, is it a bad thing that I (if my grad officer is reading this who claims I don't want to learn anything  beat this!) I recognize and can name many of those structures now. Teehee. Actually a lot of them look exactly like the MRI image we have on page...uh...88? in the lab book.

Totally not a bad thing. I am taking a biopsychology class right now, and had the same reaction. Probably less of the structures, but a lot of them.
