This is my fursona, Brace. She's an American Pika, a species of Lagomorph found at high elevations. I chose that species because it wasn't often used and because I wanted a symbol I could attach my own meaning to, and also because I thought the animal had certain traits which applied to me symbolically; a Pika is a species which should be tamed, but isn't and probably never will be. It is a wild animal. It is also fragile, highly susceptible to heat and cold and dying if the environment gets too far out of sync. This combination of tenacity and fragility seemed attractive to me.

It's always interesting to see the range of things that cause peoples' fursona choices :-)

It's me in tactical gear, during a training I was at for our local SWAT team. I was a bad guy, which was WAY too much fun.

My current avatar is Curtis, the vampire/werewolf hunter and film noir private investigator. He is chromatically challenged. The image I'm using as an avatar came from a friend who is taking commissions right now.

They kind of messed up the ending; but the artistry was top-notch, IMO. It's worth a watch, for sure.

So, finally put up an avatar. I found this nice still photo of 'Observer', a character on Mystery Science Theater 3000 played by Bill Corbett. Carries his brain around in a pan but makes up for it with supernatural skills («Behold, I produce... from nothing... this SPOON!»).

EDIT: Oh, and I think I've already mentioned this but in case I haven't: It's Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's picture of The Little Prince from the book of the same name, also written by de Saint-Exupéry. It's, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful books ever written and, despite being a children's book, it always makes me laugh and cry and at the end I always have a smile on my face. I'm going through a rough patch right now and have resorted to carrying that book around with me as a pick-me-up. It works, bitches.

So it turns out that I've never read past the first chapter of this story.

The Wikipedia article has a link to an online version of the original, with pictures included.

It's nice. Thank you.

My new one is sort of a "Coat of Arms" I've created. If it represents something, I don't know what that something is. I've had the idea for it in my head for a long long while now, just never executed it.

I can think of at least one ASCII game in which, due to the limited character set, the club character was used to represent an enemy. That is the first thing that springs to mind.

My picture is that of a "Cyber Controller" from the Dr.Who series. I was trying to find one from the newer seasons (since those are the only episodes of the series I've seen thus far), but this guy seemed much more badass when I ran the image search.

I choose this image because...

1) I'm a fanboy.

2) Over on another site I frequent (which has developed an online community somehow), their resides a far far right wing troll who believes that the entire political left is evil, vile, lazy, insane and other bizarre accusations, thinks that everyone who disagrees with him is a 'lefty', and whom has made comments that imply he'd love to 'get rid of' the 'evil lefty menace'. His behavior towards others is so disrespectful that even the other conservatives on the site find his behavior completely reprehensible. I figured that he viewed Liberals as a monolithic entity ready to mislead and 'assimulate' poor, well meaning people, much in the same way as Cybermen do, and tried to turn that into my user image. When that didn't pan out, I used a MSPaint drawing instead and used the Cyberman for this site.

In case you can't tell, I love telling long, incoherent stories.
I really should be working right now, but somehow I don't have the energy.
