Disappointment Thread (because we need more disappointment)

Postby e^iπ+1=0 » Tue Mar 15, 2011 2:24 am UTC

We have threads here for fleeting, random thoughts, random relationship thoughts, fleeting coding thoughts, fleeting FaiD thoughts, rants, confessions, LSR confessions, awesome things that happened, and plenty more. Yet we seem to be lacking a place for good ol' dissapointment.

I'll start us off:

I didn't get into MIT...

And apparently a "friend" of mine who didn't really deserve to get in got wait-listed.

I'm a little disappointed that the Math: Fleeting Thoughts wasn't mentioned in the original post. (To be fair it's a rather dead thread...)

Sorry, I just put the ones I knew of. I figured there were probably more, but rather than list another dozen fleeting thoughts threads, I thought I'd just add "and plenty more".

request granted.

I think it had more to do with the person operating it than the POS itself. It was one of the standalone keypad types. Something tells me if you are in your 40s and are serving someone in their 20s breakfast you may have made a few bad decisions in your life.

I've always liked the number 1066 ever since it worked on two completely seperate combination locks one summer when I was younger. I now randomly try it on other locks whenever I get the opportunity.

As for my own dissapointment, my first attempt at making alcohol appears to have failed, I now just have a 20 liter container of dark cloudy liquid sitting in the corner of my room smelling a bit vinegary and reminding me of my failure.

It's a Daewoo, so they're owned by Chevrolet now. It's not a lot of money, but it's just 50% of my savings. A big hit, in that sense.
