I live in Water, near (well, close enough to) Nelson. I'm in my last year at Waimea College. Vic for me the year after next, most likely, after I've been around a bit. And are we filling out the ranks? I've only seen 2.

Ah! I forgot to post!

I'm a fifteen years old, female, and I live in the eastern portion of Virginia.
I learned about XKCD through a sixteen year old girl.
The only other person I have met who reads the comic is a twenty-something year old girl. I do however, solicit the comic frequently around my friends and some close teachers.

Oh yeah! I'm also a sophomore, with interests in art and science. I'm good at math but... I couldn't imagine pursuing a career based solely on it. I guess that's getting into the realm of 'TMI'. I own that realm...

Ah yeah, I didn't think about an introduction.

I'm Somnia or Liza, whichever.

I live in Oregon. I rather like it.

I'm also 16 (17 in twoish weeks) and female.

I like math. I make integral jokes on a regular basis. In fact, just the other day a few of us integrated communism from Russia to China with respect to economy. We're not sure of the answer, however. Best we could come up with was North Korea.

Mmm, what else? I'm not much of a science buff in that I find science classes boring, but I do find science wikipedia articles endlessly fascinating.

Despite my strange fascination with math, I'm probably going to become a political scientist. Go figure.

Also, I feel that FDR wouldn't have said "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" if he had a greater knowledge of velociraptors.

Hello everyone, I'm Dur Alvar (Alvy for short) (no, thats not my real name...)

I'm 20, male and live in Australia. I love the general geekyness of this comic (as a computer science student I can't not), and was thrilled to discover that the very same geekyness is present in the forum. Anyway, look forward to chatting wit u guys soon.

I'm Lauren. As of right now according to threadless, I'm 18.51 years old. I grew up in Ithaca NY [it's in the boring, upstate part that's at least three hours from any real city.] but last fall I escaped to Boston for college at Northeastern. I'm dual majoring in computer science and math but that doesn't mean I understand all the jokes in the comic. I fail, a little.

It's okay, being in Boston you could probably just drop by Randall's place and ask him to explain anything you don't understand.

Surely all his explanations would be "Who are you? How did you get in my house?"

Mostly, I'll notice him dragging it out of my apartment. And then, the next month, my rent will be higher.

Heh, sure, be an upright citizen and not frightening. See if I care!

Clearly the thing to do is to post a Craigslist ad with a heading something like, "sleep where famed webcomic artist has slept!"

Or, y'know, just pay more rent.

....Hmm...as amusing as that would be...

I think the solution is to find a new apartment complex. This one seems to be of the opinion that adding some new linoleum is a good reason to raise the rent 200 dollars.

But that's neither here nor there.

Howdy Folks -
I am pre-emptivly posting here on the supicion that I may one day wish to post rather than lurk.

I actually registered for the express purpose of being able to see where new post are.

Little bit about me:
I'm a product engineer for a large computer manufacturer. I'm also an avid gamer (currently addicted to EVE Online). I've been married 6 years to an amazing non-geek woman who puts up with my obessions. When I'm not wasting time on the computer, I nurse a healthy reading habit.

Old enough to drink in many parts of the world/F/California. I started reading the comic because of the spifftastic blend of geekishness and romance, and I just got my Sandwich shirt today and I want to announce it to the world. Can't wait for my online communities poster.

Well, I will probably be changing it to something super-radical such as an actual pic of me (gasps) soon... but seriously. One's a plane. One's a tank. If you can't tell the difference... You possibly have more to worry about than muddling up two forumites.

Note: I'm kidding, I realise they do look very similar.

Edit: ARGH, I keep muddling up Hawknc's posts with mine :?

What can I say? A person who can and will sing that the entire song for me maintains the delicate balance between exuberance and irreversible dorkiness, which I think I might respect. (Maybe.)
