I made my geek code a few years ago, but it's wholly out of date by now. It's too much like hard work to write my new one.

In the spirit of adding to the thread though, post your ideal partners geek code as well!

That'll do nicely. Let me bring up a Windaz server VM (I'm lazy, and I'll do this in ASP/MySQL) and start dev work.

Get me some specifics. Also, there will be none of that senseless plaintext crap they used in OmniCode.

Hmm, well. Let's name each catagory with a letter(s), then follow it with degree indication in square brakets. So; J[INTJ] can be Jung type INTJ.
Then paretheses can be for clarification: SAT[1600(O)] can be for an SAT score of 1600 on the O(ld) scale.

xkcdCode so far:

Variables:

G - Geek type eg G[Math]
H - height - (measure i.e. cm, feet, nanolightseconds etc) eg H[182(cm)]
W - weight - (measure) eg W[66.5(kg)]
J - Jung type eg J[INTJ]
SAT - SAT score - (O/N, for old/new) eg SAT[1575(O)]
IQ - IQ score - (test) eg IQ[232(Mensa)]

what other things should we have? sexuality? location? ...

I like the whole breakdown of "Geekiness", but I think we'd need to add more classes (History Geek, Music Geek, etc.) as it's not just Computer Geeks around these parts...

Just to play devil's advocate, why not try something like

Person.Male.Geek.Computer('VB.Net','ASP.Net')
.Mathematics('Cryptography','Geometry|Sacred')
.Books('Fiction'|'Science-Fiction'|'AltUniverse'|'Dune')
Person.Male.Age=30
.Height=6 (in feet,or we could come up with some non-metric non-American measurement system. Cuz, you know, this is what we do).

etc..

Granted, this is just off the top of my head, and I love the cryptic-ness (crypticality?) of the Geek Code, just "putting it out there"...

Man, the GeekCode is pretty outdated.

For the XKCDCode, I propose a generalized format for a culture block - C.

m - Music
t - Television
w - Web entertainment
b - Books

lower-case implies that you partake of the medium, upper-case demonstrates that you're a big fan.

Separate

So a voracious reader of sci-fi and fantasy webcomics who listens to any music, but isn't really into music, and doesn't watch TV, would be C[W,Sci-Fi/Fantasy:m,All].
So, I like talking. So if you want to talk about something with me, feel free to send me a PM.

My blog, now rarely updated.

For anyone who cringed as much as I did doing that and wishes there was something that a) embraced the possibility that not all geeks use UNIX, b) didn't play to tired stereotypes of "true" geeks being sexless loners and c) didn't refer to the web as "new" and "little understood", witness the previous attempt to create an xkcdcode mentioned earlier in this thread and feel free to revive the project. Unfortunately it looks like Wing's server that the wiki was hosted on is now out of commission.

I ditched my geek code from my email sig block a while back as I felt it was a bit of an anachronism, I would find and post the version I had when I stopped using it, but frankly I CBA.
