I dreamed I had been captured by North Korea. I spent every minute thinking I was about to be tortured and there was nothing I could do about it. I woke up without having been tortured, but it was a very, very unpleasant dream.

Duuuuude, I saw the future. January 17, 2015. It was only enough to check out my future girlfriend, the new Windows OS (nifty graphics, not sure how well it works) and the future I-phone, but still....

I dreamt about me being sleepy on going down the stairs. When I got down a teacher was furious about me being late to watch a disney movie. And facebook bodyguards. dunno what it means, I cannot describe objects in my dreams. They keep following me and beats up other facebook guards.

A year or so ago I had a dream like that, having to pee, but I did find the bathroom, except that it didn't work, and my lower abdomen still hurt. Then I was pretty glad to wake up.

Most recently, I dreamed about worms! (what do you suppose it means?) except that they were probably caterpillars, but I couldn't think of that word. They were interesting, but increasingly creepy, so I jumped of a small cliff to avoid walking over the weeds they were squirming around in. But there were ants down there! and then I woke up.

There was this unspeakably awesome story I was involved in involving spaceships, sex and quasi-medieval warfare. Seriously, I have the most amazing dreams. Usually, they're fairly routine and involve suddenly acquiring the power of flight, and various stuff about hanging around with my friends, forgetting my PE kit (still), fighting legions of rats etc. But every so often I get a full colour, feature length epic. Last time I had one like this, it was like a fantasy epic that started off as a wet dream, continued through a brief sojourn in 'the garden at the end of time' and ended in a pitched battle over a series of islands fought between the natives and people enslaved by the woman involved in the original wet dream. I'd write that shit down, only I tend to forget the plot within a few hours of waking up.
The future is always bright. Bombs generate quite substantial amounts of illumination

So...

The man in the brown bear costume was back, and he shot himself in the head again. However this time, it was at an airport, not in front of a chapel.

My grandmother was asleep in a gap between her front door and the threshold (threshhold?) of that door (this gap does not actually exist). It was really hard to wake her up. Then I was all like "Quick, we have to take our pills! The Terminator is coming!" Somehow these pills would save us... I asked how many to take and was told "five". But then I read the can and it said to take 75mg... but each pill was 17mg. :?

Dream 1: Waking up startled. Fifteen times. It sucked.

Dream 2: I lived in an apartment building, finished putting on deoderant, then looked out the window. The sea level was rising, and soon the entire building was flooded. I swam to the roof of my building. The city was now an archipelago of rooftops. I met a friend on the roof. For several days we survived by fishing. Eventually he decided he needed to eat me. I fled from rooftop to rooftop, building a small group of 30 people to fight against the ex-friend cannibal. We were about to take him on, but then a guy who was entirely black (eyes, skin, everything. Like a human 3d model with pure black textures) appeared flying in the sky, and took us all to another world full of people from other flooded worlds. There were other black-texture people, and they oppressed us. I became one of the black-texture people and wielded the power of lightning against the other ones. Dream over.

Dream 3: It was World War 2, I got shot twice, and died slowly. Once dead, I discovered there was no God, and experienced an eternity of nothingness. Then I woke up.

I guess you could say I just had my first "Randall, get out of my head" moment, but it wasn't from a comic. I had a dream this morning where I was in a production of a play Randall had written about two alien civilizations coming into contact with each other. They were known as the Shevites and the Teptec. When the leaders of one of the civilizations arranged themselves into a specific configuration, a horrible beast appeared to destroy them all (it looked kinda like an elephant). Playing on the theme of different cultures trying to live in harmony, the play ended with the line, "It is better to tune not to Concert A, but to 33.52." I figure 33.52 Hz must be the frequency of their mantra or something. I tried generating it with my computer, but I couldn't hear it (it's at the very bottom of human hearing range).
Stephen Hawking: Great. The entire universe was destroyed.
Fry: Destroyed? Then where are we now?
Al Gore: I don't know. But I can darn well tell you where we're not—the universe!

For the record: 33.52Hz is three octaves below middle C (concert pitch) plus about 25 cents (real three-octaves-below-middle-C is about 32.7 Hz). Three and a quarter semitones above the lowest note on a piano. Very low, but it should be audible...

It's more likely that your speakers have some sort of high-pass filter that's stopping the very low frequency from being played... many speakers have them, for various reasons.

Not with speakers that are too small to generate sounds that low. So it's the computer rather than the ears, is my guess. Either way that's an impressive dream.

Last night I dreamed I was a ninja, and I perfected an art I called The Three Ways of the Leaf and the Stick, and I was all running while crouching, then I jumped into a lake and hid there while some people passed. I can't remember what the methods actually encompassed, but I think the leaf represented defense, camouflage, and action through inaction/non-resistance. Anyway, I was hiding under a lily pad and I realized I was staying underwater too long. I couldn't breathe and I started sinking.

Then I realized I couldn't breathe in real life either, and I woke up coughing very hard because I had something stuck in my throat.

I can't remember every detail of this dream, but I was in a post-apocalyptic world. I was trying to find a safe place to bunker down for the night, when I spotted some kind of war robot hiding in a hole. I threw three grenades, one to flush it out and the other two went off as it came out and blew it up. I was about to enter a library to sleep, when an Imp attacked me. I can't remember how I beat it, though. I might have just hidden, Imps were apparently pretty bad. Finally, I found a lightsaber in an abandoned car, just in time to be attacked by someone or something else, and my alarm went off and woke me up.

I had a weird dream in which I convinced second-rate Disney heroes and villains to put aside their differences and work together. My sub conscience makes me want to puke, sometimes.

That said, I think they were Disney characters.I may have made them up entirely.

I dreamt of running from Daleks. I was running away from a sort of palace, on a horse trail through a forest at autumn, into pitch-black darkness. I had a bit of a head-start, enough that they probably wouldn't find me if I kept going. I looked past my shoulder and saw them coming out of the castle exterminating everything that moved, and then the dream just ended.

I don't normally remember my dreams, but I had one last night that I thought would be a cool business to start. (I'm not sure if this goes here or the "making the world a weirder place" thread.)

I was watching a football game on TV, I don't know the teams but I do know the game was tied at 20 with two minutes left in the half when...

...The game faded and the TV station signed off for the day claiming it only broadcasts one 30-minute program a day. It was weird,

I've been having a series of reoccurring dreams.
I am in a room, a cubical, white room, unfurnished save for a large mahogany executive's desk. On this desk there is a black candlestick telephone with no way of dialing out. There are no cables other than the one connecting the ear piece to the main body of the phone, and the phone is firmly anchored to the desk. I pick up the earpiece, hold it to my ear. All I hear is the standard American dial tone. No operator, no modulation, no anything. So, I hang up the phone, and wait. I wait for hours and hours, but nothing happens.

Until recently.

After waiting a great while, the phone rings. It's the good, old-fashioned ring that can only be made with a bell ringer. I dash over to the phone, pick up the earpiece, lean into the mouthpiece, and answer, "Hello?" The person (entity/being/whatever, I have no way of knowing) on the other end sighs and hangs up. I hear the dial tone more, hang up and pick up the earpiece again.

There is no longer even a dial tone. There is silence.

I dreamed that I stole some software from a Japanese law firm. I made it to some sort of countryside and didn't get caught. It was apparently made into a documentary because I was using it for some nefarious plan and the guy who ran the firm had gotten older and was on tv saying the crime still hadn't been solved. I just smiled and packed up to head back to the States. Wake up. Next dream, I was at a wedding. Someone had evidence that would connect me to the crime in a car. I stole it and got away with it because a puppy ran up to me and I said that I had seen it next to my car. No one suspected me of anything.

My last night was very messy, i didn't get enough sleep as in the first dream i was having one of my exams and realised i have no ideas on the topic and i understood i was going to fail... stupid feeling, but still. And in my second dream I was late everywhere! To work, meetings... something terrible... I do understand that they have nothing to do with reality and can't be called nightmares, but still i feel broken the whole day :(

Last night I had what was probably the most enthralling erotic/romantic dream I've had in some time; but as usual, as soon as I woke up and started thinking about it, it made no damn sense. Even though it was nice, it still had a good dose of anxiety in it.

The last dream I can remember had me blowing things up and tossing them around. People, cars, buildings. I could make things explode simply by willing them to explode, and I had some sort of telekinesis where I could just pick things up remotely and toss them around. It was awesome. Apparently my subconscious has a really good rag-doll physics engine.

You weren't playing The Force Unleashed before bed, were you? ;)

I had a dream about work. I hate those, because it usually involves an absolutely ridiculous and unrealistic problem occurring that I have to handle by myself. In this dream, however, every store and regional manager in the state was lined up outside the store, apparently waiting to get in for some big meeting. I was about to find out exactly why they were here, when my alarm went off.

I dreamed a couple nights ago that the leaves were changing and falling off the trees already. I was terrified to think that I had missed the entire Summer and that it was once again Fall and I had to return to work and the dreariness of Winter soon to follow. It was depressing.

Then I woke up to discover that it was in fact still Spring and I have 4 weeks until I'm done with work for about 3 months.
I'm addicted to bad ideas, and all the beauty in this world.

Lets see what I can remember.... There's a CO2 powered car race (irl) and I think it influenced me to dream about making models.... So in my dream I'm making a sort of UAV out of balsa wood. I needed to test it before painting it, but then I decided to ... umm... I guess that best way to describe it would be swim in the grass. I took a running jump then almost bellyflopped onto the lawn, but just before impact I gracefully curve upward towards the sky as if in water. (I tend to do this in dreams whenever they become partially lucid.) Zombies... They are coming for me. I drop everything and run for the house. I grab a strange pole with a wicked looking scythe/hook at the end and then barricade the house. The house resembles a friend's house (irl). There is a girl with me that I've never seen before. She has a golf club. We keep making too much noise and the zombies get curious. We lure them up the stairs then crush their skulls and disembowel them. My scythe-pole can slice through zombies like a hot knife through butter. A friend of mine (not someone from real life) has become a zombie, but can control his murderous tendencies. (I hope) He helps up, but is clumsy and keeps accidentally alerting the zombies to our presence. I remember several scenes where a zombie quickly shambles past a shattered glass sliding door. The girl sits down at a piano, turns on an extremely bright lamp and starts playing... I figure I'm screwed and that all the zombies come rushing in at any minute. I find myself in a dark large building with very 'organic' architecture. Nearly black metal and stone in twisted shapes. There are conferences / presentations going on in the rooms. I go outside, but I am trapped by a very tall chain link fence.

Dream a couple of days ago. I can't remember most of it, as usual I can only remember the last act, as it were. I am asked (almost as if it were a quest in some RPG) to collect three dolphin backs/spines and brains. I remember the backs resembled long strips of red, uncooked mince, the kind bought in supermarkets; they were fairly easy to remove from the dolphins, requiring only that I lift them out.
The brains were more difficult to remove; they were, I think, held in with little bits of string or sinewy tissue; the kind you get on gristly meat, that needs extra attention with your knife to separate it from the piece speared on your fork. I remember waking up feeling a bit nauseous, but mostly curious about the oddness of the dream.

I think the mince thing was due to cooking some faux bolognese a day or two prior, and recalling the way that they mince was easy to remove from the packaging (open the plastic, upend into the pan, remove greasepaper. The process is fairly satisfying to perform).
...And before you ask: yes, I do like to listen to myself talk!

I was on a high street in some town or other, and some kid came up to me and said someone had paid him to give me a letter. The letter read (something along the lines of):

Tom,

You have been targeted by the Ayakashi. I know you've received some blank letters. They were not sent by me, do not look at them. I want to help you. Certains charabia écrit en français. I think you have a weapon which can fight the Ayakashi, and we need you to find it and then find me. If they attack you, they cannot hurt you unless you look into their eyes. Do not look at them, not even for a second. One glimpse and you're dead.

Good luck.

An old friend.

The bottom of the page was shredded. Like you know when you put a piece of paper through a shredder, but pull it back out before it finishes? The bottom edge looked like that.

When I had finished reading, the high street was empty. It had been crowded with people just seconds before, but now it was empty and quiet. It was night-time now. At the other end of the street, streetlights were switching off one-by-one in sequence, coming towards me. I knew I had to stay in the light, so I ran.

I dreamt it was snowing here, even though it's warm (about 25 degrees C now), and the snow piled up on the ground and didn't melt. It was great!

Last night I dreamed I was playing Frisbee while talking to a woman about her religion, and how she felt about her son being of a different faith. Pretty nice lady, actually, and she was proud of her son for picking his on path. Not exactly exciting, except she was a cleric of a Dark Goddess of Plagues and Death. There was also a generic but pretty city park filled with "abandon all hope" style signs, and a keeper of the keys of darkness (I don't know what that means, but that's what the sign in front of his house said).

Night before last was much more interesting. I was in some sort of Lovecraft-inspired virtual reality, solving/troubleshooting a mystery in some kind of creepy mansion. I wandered around a bit, but it wasn't actually scary, until I left the machine for the "real world." When I asked the programmer why she included an Avatar of Hastur in the program, she told me "Because he was there!" I turn around to look behind me, and catch a glimpse of this... thing... just before waking up. With sleep paralysis affecting me. Because after a scary dream, nothing's better than waking up completely unable to move, act or yell for help.

In my short sleep post-snooze-button-pressing, I had a weird Doctor Who/Die Hard/TerminatorCharlie and the Chocolate Factory dream.

So all these cybermen were looking for John McClane, who through an unfortunate series of events was lying in a gutter with no limbs (opened joints sparking like the first Terminator when he was severely damaged...) being sung to by some frogs (he was also about 3 inches tall by then, maybe he shrunk?). The Cybermen failed to spot him, anyway. I was trapped in a glass lift with Doctor Who and Willy Wonka, having run there to escape the cybermen, and the Doctor had deadlock sealed the thing shut. I even had a weird dart-gun thing to defend us from the cybermen but it wouldn't shoot through the glass...

This was all within about 30 minutes of real time, and it was all preceded by a mundane thing about listening to music on a bus on my phone speaker :/

EDIT: I don't take drugs, honest!

^ I have better drugs than what you are taking

I am playing GTA 4 with Facebook Properties. Somebody say that Facebook is decaying everyone just posts about COD4 and society is stupid. Haruhi Suzumiya made a new season (I was fooled to believing in my dreams) and had Lucky Star /FLCL like humor. Mikuru had a pentel pen sunburn. I got ran over by a car GTAesque. I bought a huge condominium. And Haruhi was on the bridge screwing with Kyon.

I was cheating! that was 4:00 Pm siesta.

The only thing I now remember about my dream is that for some reason I had Richard Branson's name written down on paper of some kind.
I had to look up his name to figure out who he was.

The most memorable dream from last night was really awesome. It literally took the form of a movie trailer, showing a city immediately after an as-yet-unspecified disaster; cars were stopped, part of a highway had collapsed, an emergency broadcast system message was playing on car radios, etc. Suddenly there's this crashing sound nearby, and everyone gets that really loud, quasi-shrieking crowd-hysteria sound going, wondering what happened. Then this chittering sound starts, and an alien comes crawling up over an elevated road or pipe or something.

The alien had a whitish-grey body, five insectoid legs ending in wicked, bladelike claws, a long neck, and a face much like a human's except missing it's cheeks, so it's sharp teeth were easily visible. It begins attacking people, and it inlcudes killing this boy's mother by stabbing through her torso, and it spits acid. Some of the acid gets on the boy, and he lays there shrieking as some of his skin dissolves. Then you see a few three-or-four-second shots of various battles and massacres happening, with a voice-over of Liam Neeson saying how this was the story of mankind's darkest hour, yadda yadda. It ends with view of Liam finishing writing in a journal or autobiography or something, basically he was the kid in the previous scene. His' face is all messed up from the acid before, though, but not completely destroyed. He then reaches over, turns off his lamp, and you then hear an alien chittering.

I then woke up.
