Re: What were your dreams last night?

Postby BCube » Sun Aug 24, 2008 11:01 pm UTC

I've been through a spell of forgetting my dreams, so here are the dreams I had a while ago.

  1. One night, I dreamt I was watching a documentary about young Buddhist monks. The "documentary" then proceeded to document the very important and sacrosanct tradition of said monks choosing chairs to sit on for the rest of their lives (to top it up, they're those cheap plastic school chairs). Afterwards, I see a young monk with an orange chair exiting a school bus. The director explains that the boy is part of a clan who are going to a StarCraft tournament. The caretaker of these young monks then chats with the director about mayonnaise.

  2. When I was young (like when I was 7-12), I would have exactly one recurring dream in the summer. It involved this persistent, vast, utopian park with various modes of transportation to get around it. There wasn't anything to do in the park, per se; it was just a place to relax. I would always walk through this park and take a tour of this ever-evolving park, usually to have something go wrong (the train goes out of commission, I get lost, my group runs out of grapes, etc.) When I realized that I was having these recurring dreams, I never had one again.

  3. Finally, I once dreamt I was browsing the fora on my computer. Then I woke up.

All I remember from my dream last night is that I had a bruised big toenail (it was all purple)

Last night I dreamt that I ascended in NetHack. When I woke up, I was all 'when the hell did the Astral Plane get so easy... Oh, wait, dream.'

The fact that ascii isn't usually 3D should have given it away earlier, on reflection.

I had one that mostly made sense last night. I went to a hockey game, and when it got late in one period I realized I hadn't put a piece of equipment on(my cup I think). So I have to take off my skates and a bunch of other stuff, and was just rushing and trying to get my gear on, and wasn't ready to play in the middle of the game.

The only really bizarre thing was the rink was like 4 full sized rinks put together in a weird shape:

Neither of these were incredibly vivid, but I had to wake up early so it messes with my dream recall I guess.

It was next weekend, all the people moving around here were all moved in to their new places, and the people living in The Hive decided they didn't want to hang out with us anymore :( [/subconscious worrying about impressing internet people]

In an unrelated dream, I'm in a shack on a pier at night. There is a large group of people here. Some of the people I know and get along alright with, but most of the people seem to look down on me. It's not quite that they think they're better than me, it's more like an "aww, look at the poor little girl. She doesn't even know." (not that there's anything to 'know', but it's that kind of pitying disdain). One of the girls there says something rude and my blood begins boiling. I feel my heart quicken, and a calm descends over my body: I am gearing up for confrontation, for a fight. A small smile grows on my face, my eyes narrow. We start fighting and she realizes she has underestimated me. I try putting her in a headlock, but I'm not getting good leverage for it, so I take her down and set up some other submission whose name eludes me, but I remember all the steps: Side control, move her arm up by her head, put my head to the ground, transfer my weight to the other side, grab my own bicep with one hand, her forehead with the other, and squeeze. The submission doesn't come right away, since I haven't done it in a while and because it's live and she's struggling, but I have everything locked and it's just a matter of time.
{sigh} I miss grappling.

spoilered for what-the-fuck-was-I-on:

Spoiler:
This dream felt like it went for a million years and I can't make it chronologically make sense so will just put down what I can remember.

First thing I can remember is being in an adult-bookstore - I think, looking for some change or something? - and whatever I needed, I couldn't find it so I left. But I thought, 'when I'm done, I'll come back here and get a lapdance'. So I left and went *can't remember this bit*.

Then I was coming back from *can't remember* to the sex-shop and, as I was walking through the city, I got caught up in this big group of schoolkids who were walking down the street *can't remember why this is important*. Then I needed to get money from an ATM so I went to the place where there are normally ATMs but instead there was a fried-chicken shop. I went in and they had computers set up that were meant to be ATMs. So I'm trying to get money out and this computer was asking me, like, eleventy billion questions and I was getting really frustrated because I had to be somewhere and was running out of time so I canceled my transaction and complained to the girl at the shop-counter about the stupid machine that wouldn't just let me get money out.

edit - I was walking from the ATM to somewhere and there was a whole section of the block that had been burned down. It had only just happened and there were firemen and emergency services crew talking to people. I remember I could feel this really hot residual heat as I walked past the burned down buildings.

*cut to next bit*

I was in a car (being driven by someone else?) and I got a text-message from my ex (who I broke up with over a year ago and haven't spoken to since) saying, 'we should talk, it's stupid ignoring each other like this'. Then the car I was in stopped on the side of the road and my ex was there, getting out of a different car with a guy she dated for a while, so I got out of my car and said some ice-breaker comment and she smiled and we started talking. Everything she said was friendly and pleasant but there was this big fucking psychic wall between us because of the break-up so it was all kinda awkward (for me), especially with the guy trailing her around.

So we were walking through a forest(?) and talking and my ex starts touching me and stuff and I was getting really stressed out (because apparently I still have feelings for her?) but was also kinda glad to be with her and that she was being friendly to me. Then we were looking for something? We were digging in this hole in the ground and it kept going down to new layers but we never found what we were looking for. Then, after about 5 or 6 layers, we found this portal thing and went through it. We came out at another point in the forest and the dream gradually ended.

So that's my dream. It felt really stressful the whole time (and it felt like it went forever). I think it may have been semi-lucid in parts. And when I woke up I felt really depressed and lonely :(

Occasionally I get dreams that start out normal, and then end up really Fwaked up. Like piss-yourself scary. Both involving cars and explosions. I remember them in great detail.. this one happened when I was 7 years old.

My mother, sister, and I were driving down a street in our town. As we approached where my grandmother's house happens to be, a girl suddenly appeared and crossed the road. We drove by her fine, but a few seconds later, she appeared again right on our windshield. It went white, then black. I was granted with one of the most disturbing images in my life: A huge crater, charred in black. Pieces of car everywhere. I was laying on the ground on a charred sidewalk, my hands up to my head. My mother and sister were both nearly blown to pieces, covered in blood, scattered around the street. The sound of ambulances, or maybe a fire truck, got louder and louder. Then the view panned back to me, where I was having a spasm, caked in blood. I realized I was looking at my death, and woke up (IRL) covered in sweat. For a year, I hated mayonaisse.

Just last week:
My dad and I were driving down the street next to a middle school. In front of us was a man in a very small, army-jeep-like vehicle. We were laughing about it a little, as it was a sight to see. He bent over (I surmised later to put a brick on the gas) and got back up. He sat on the trunk for a full 3 seconds, as if to think. I snapped into gear and told my dad, "Slow down, slow down, SLOW DOWN!" the man jumped off the back of the car, and we swerved past him. I was going to help him, but my dad kept going. At this point, it appeared my acting in the dream stopped, and/or my dad was ignoring what was going on. "Dad, turn around. Turn around. He's going to be killed!" I huffed, and turned around to look out the window. Suddenly, a short burst of blood went into the air, and a truck swerved into a curb. My jaw dropped, and I stared at my dad. "Dad, you didn't stop to help him. You didn't save him. You killed him, you KILLED HIM!" at this point, my dad took out a gun, and shot me point blank. At which point I woke up (IRL) and pissed myself.

i had this dream a few nights ago that i cant remember the full context of but for some reason at some point in the dream it was absolutely imperative for me to have a giant riding turtle. i mean EVERYONE else i knew had one and i really needed to have one but there was some kind of roadblock (metaphorically speaking) to me getting one... and i talked to a lot of people about it but i don't think i ever got one. anyway the strange part of all this was that i didn't remember having the dream until later when i was sitting around in a headcold produced snotfilled brain haze (like when you're sick and you just can't think well at all) and in the middle of my sentence just sort of started saying words, and one of them devolved into "terrapin" which then lead me to "turtle" and all of a sudden this dream came rushing back to me. It was very odd...

Sex with ex.

Amusing rhymes aside, is there any way to make this stop? I'd rather have sex dreams about my current, totally awesome girlfriend instead, y'know?

I dreamed about trains running trough downtown, then one train got a flat tire (WTF?) and derailed, crashing on McDonald's. I ran into the balcony to find a friend of mine there, looking at the accident.

It was a really weird dream. There was a house that was split in two. To go to the other area of the house you had to cross a swamp. The swamp and both areas of the house were infested with man eating worms, or something like that. These worms represent penis. I know that because that day someone in the forum poste about how wome(a)ns think that everything in the books represnts phallus. The example was Dune and the worms. And for some reason Doctor House and the new doctors were in the house. I hadn't seen D.H for a few weeks before that dream. There were some SWAT soldier but the worms killed them.
I'm moving to a new house in a few months. I know the worms and the swamp means that i dont want to move. But Doctor house and SWAT, WTF?

I just had one that mostly involved an elaborate 2D Mario level, which is weird because I hardly ever play Mario. At first I was watching someone else play it--with Mario doing all his usual stuff, though at one point he shot some arrows and then apparently slowed down time, because they all went really slow and he jumped around on them for a bit--but somewhere in there I started controlling him (hard to be sure when, as I could only see the screen), and it got pretty nuts. A bunch of huge gray turtles showed up and started trying to blast me with giant fast-moving fireballs; somehow I avoided them all while moving incredibly fast through the level, and eventually stopped at a weird area with some dangerous-looking ladders moving horizontally at suddenly changing speeds. After getting up all of that without much difficulty, Mario, or me, or someone, teleported to a dark room (which was now 3D, go figure) with some unrecognizable guy in there. He said something dramatic and then ordered me to play a short tune with the controller, like in the older 3D Zelda games. I only remember it vaguely; the instrument sounded really distorted. The Mysterious Guy seemed kind of annoyed that I had played it back slowly and with no rhythm (probably because I always thought it was dumb that Zelda games usually didn't care about this) but said it was "good enough." I think I decided to quit the game at this point. I then saw a group of soldiers at the far end of some big empty building, and a split second later my alarm went off and I woke up.

...I think the thing at the very end had something to do with TF2; as for the rest, I have no idea. Maybe I'm going into Nintendo withdrawal.

Mine was one where I let the cat get out of the door to our apartment and somehow decided that instead of wasting time carting her back into the apartment, I'd just take her with me. This of course, was not all that convenient. I ended up visiting a high school, then needing to run some errand or other, so I stuck the cat in a furnace room and shut her in (as you do??), then went on my way, intending to come back in like ten minutes. A weird series of events happened, including suddenly deciding to view part of a school play, and somehow the cat had gotten loose in the school. I'm pretty sure I did eventually recover her and get her back home.

I'm not sure what my brain is telling me here, but I woke up with the distinct impression that it would annoy the crap out of my housemate if she knew.

I have to get this off my chest.

I was sent on a mission, with a severely depressed butcher as a companion, to cross a certain Swamp of the Dead. It was yellow, foggy and rotting. I can't really explain what was rotting (The Dead, I suppose). All I can definitely extract from my memory is that IT was rotting. The bridge to cross was made entirely out of cardboard and the faster we walked the deeper we sunk into the water. If we slowed, however, our backs would be ripped bloody by wailing, man-eating puppies. I don't recall whether we made it or not.

Sorry... It was incredibly traumatic and I had to get it out.
Thank you for bearing with me.

I've had two strangely-related aircraft dreams in recent nights.

Episode 1: I am travelling over to the United States on family holiday. The USA has now evolved their border security from the green visa waiver landing card form thingamejigs, and all travellers must now have a comprehensive visa. So we're landed in the US and I'm at the border patrol passport check desk. I am informed by the official in the booth that my visa is invalid. Rather than an official printed document added to the passport, I had a folded A4 printout, crudely typed with no official details, written in French, with my personal details written on in blue pen. As a result I am personally escorted through miles of departure lounge to be flown back out of the country.

Episode 2: This experience also involves a random aeroplane trip to a destination I never noticed. Flying with BA, we head to board a Boeing 747/might-be-an-Airbus-A380. The boarding procedure has a twist in that the upper deck for first class passengers is accessed not through an internal stairwell but a secondary access hatch. Loading the plane used a single driven boarding stair platform, not a jetty. For the first class passengers to get to the second level however, the gap for normal-section had to be accommodated in the stairs, and we are then forced to scramble up a somewhat steeper incline with somewhat restricted width.

Now I'm not usually too fearful of flying, but these two events have made me think a bit.

I dreamed that I was helping a group of people break into a house, by acting as the getaway driver. I ended up hotwiring a car to escape when the cops showed up, but I left my own car at the place we broke into. We managed to get away regardless, and I woke up feeling dumb.

The lesson I'm taking away from this is to never use my own car for criminal activities.

I was in a huge (like, HUEG) airport with my brother. I get the impression my mum was there too but I can't remember seeing her. I think we were also a lot younger than we are now. We walked through the main path through the integrated supermarket that they forced you to take to get anywhere important and went to a small and quiet security checkpoint. Me and my brother went through fine, then we had to go back for some reason. We went back again over to the side past the checkpoint. Then I saw some vaguely Indian looking guy walking towards the checkpoint from the opposite direction. To begin with I thought he had a backpack on but it was sort of a tactical vest with loads of pockets on it like the military wear. I remember quite vividly looking at him and thinking "There's a terrorist if I ever saw one." Sort of as a joke to myself. While he was passing through the checkpoint, he was asked to empty the pockets of his vest and the middle-aged slightly pudgy man didn't seem too bothered by a large, heavy, box-shaped package wrapped in brown paper, saying something that implied he had his own secrets (specifically cheating on his wife) and he'd let this guy keep his. I don't know how or why but I saw a section of the paper peeled back, either because I was holding the package or the guy was checking on it and I had dream-telescopic vision because this bit was important. The end of the box was blank and white, possibly painted metal and had a brand name something like "Grohld" printed in plain black text on it. Underneath that was the word "NUKE" in slightly smaller text and on the side were the words "NUCLEAR [something]" and one of the radiation warning symbols. Needless to say, at this point I panicked, whispering hurriedly to the guy who'd just cleared him through security that he had a fucking nuke in that package. Then a bit of a blur, then the guy was chasing everyone around through the supermarket with some sort of assault rifle that can't logically have come from everywhere. I guess I had at least some idea that it was a dream as I was hoping while I was running that I didn't run like I normally do in dreams (which is I start running, get nowhere, lean forward to try and go faster and go nowhere again). As he was chasing a bunch of us and shooting I woke up.

There was one before this that I can only vaguely remember. It was definitely sci-fi and involved me and some other dude in really heavy armour (think the templar armour from Hellgate London) descending down this wide, long, cylindrical shaft and defeating technological demons on the way down. There were lasers too, but I remember standing on them as if they were metal poles driven across the shaft. Oh, I was female too. You'd be surprised how often that happens. It's usually kinda irrelevant anyway. We get to the bottom and progress into some corridor thingies down there. That's about all of it I can remember beyond some weird sci-fi buildings in the sky at night before we descended into the shaft.

First dream was about me back in my school rejecting friends sympathy for a recent situation of mine to do with university. It was pretty much like an average school day, except I just seemed to be wandering around school and stopping in places every now and then. Friends would come up an offer me things and words of sympathy to which I'd just reply that I didn't need anything from them.
Only parts of the second dream I remember were me laying large paving stones in a garden ontop of soil, then the next day I find water leaking out the gaps between a few of them in one area. I dig up the pavements to see a few friends laying down underneath, who had apparently dug up the paving stones, made a hole underneath at 3:50 that morning and hid under them as a prank, then pushed water up through the gaps to get my attention when I came out that day.

I've got a feeling both are related to me having not seen my friends for quite some time. :?

I had THE most amazing dream last night.

It started off with me leaving my hotel room, on one of the higher floors of the hotel. I had to get to room number 215, where I was supposed to be meeting my biological relatives for dinner at 10:25.

Well, I arrived a little bit late, and rm. 215 turned out to be the dining hall itself. So I came in and took a seat next to my cousin Brian. Apparently, in the dream, I had JUST broken up with my first ex-boyfriend, and my biological mother had taken the liberties of informing everyone at the table, despite the fact that I told her not to. (I think, in the dream, Brian was there to fill the empty seat that my ex had caused by breaking up with me).

Anyway, they were all already eating pasta primavera, but before I had a chance to order or eat my food, this man starts chasing me around. As in all of my dreams, I can fly, so I started flying away from him. I can't get away from him, though, so he eventually catches up to me and starts doing things. I don't remember them exactly, but at some point at least one of two other people showed up to hold me down while he did whatever he was doing. I think it was tickling me, but in the dream, it seemed much worse than that.

So in the middle of all of this, he grabs one of my little toes (The leftfoot "ringfinger" of the toe world...) and it HURTS. Well, I yell out in pain and he wasn't expecting that, so he lets me go. I then fly around the "dreamstage" to a point where we're outside on a hill, and explain to him that a few years back, I was in a dance performance here. There were steps and a ramp leading down to the stage, and I tripped on the ramp and broke my toe.

He actually seemed genuinely sorry and worries about the fact that he had hurt me. So he carries me down the hill to this area with this big tree, the kind with the roots that go from the brnches tot he ground. The tree was atcually glowing somewhat, like a blue or green aura around it...

We reach the base of the tree, and he stops. Sort of looks at me, and leans in for a kiss. I do to, and our lips touch briefly before I realize what's going on. I tell him no, I can't kiss him, and when he asks why, I tell him it's because he's a shapeshifter and he'd probably do screwy things to my tongue while it was in his mouth.

He says something in return (I don't remember) and in response, I wrap my legs around his waist and press HARD into his groin with mine, saying something like "I can tell". (In relation to the size of his penis, I'm guessing...)

Well, at that point, he sweeps me into the middle of this tree, whose roots kind of formed a bit of a secluded grotto, and says that he actually does that sort of thing all the time. "Girls come to me confused, wanting one thing, wanting another, not knowing which they want. I can give them both."

He then lets me go and joins a whole group of people at the trunk of the tree. He says something like "We must bind her for today" (Because whatever he was doing with me, it was the second day of a three day process), so the tree starts REALLY glowing then and they all start chanting "Helena, Helena, Helena..."

In the dream, I had a quick breach of the fantasy, because I found myself thinking that Helena wasn't the name I'd originally had in the dream. (But whatever it had originally been, neither name was my real name) But even though it wasn't my name or dream name, something still started happening. I suddenly felt fuller, heavier, more...powerful, more regal. I started to glow a little too, and I could tell something had changed.

But I knew I didn't want to stick around, so left, heading back up the way towards the entrance to room 215. But as I was heading up the stairs/ramp, this evil-looking man comes out of nowhere and starts chasing me. I fly faster, though my movements are definately slower and more powerful than they had been earlier, trying to get away. He yells something like "Just because you're the Goddess now, doesn't mean you can escape!"

This shocks me, so I fly quickly into a room and throw myself into the floor, which I go right through no problem, as some sort of sacrifice to the world. But just when I do, he storms into the room and says something like "Now you're stuck there forever!" and I find that I can't move no matter what I do.

That's when I woke up, and for a few brief moments, my physical body couldn't move at all. That was a little scary, but thankfully it didn't last long. I think my roommate was doing dishes in the kitchen and the sound woke me up...bah.

It sounds trippy, but, I dunno, I really enjoyed that dream. First one I've enjoyed since I dreamt Alton Brown was teaching me how to make honeybread. Maybe it's because in the dream, I was obviously powerful, and obviously sexually desired. Or something. And I could fly, which is always awesome.

@up: Woah!

I've recently had a dream of being trapped in this huge city/base like thing, presumably underground. And it had zombies. I'm not sure if they were technically living dead or rather some sort of mutants (probably the latter). I, along a few survivors, were trying to get out. The whole dream had this computer game feeling to it, "played" like Bioshock or System Shock 2.

The zombies seemed to be in huge pain all the time, they suffered from the state they were in. Killing them would almost be an act of mercy though we just ran most of the time. I don't remember killing any. I rarely kill things in dreams.

After a while we got to a kind of an elevator going upwards (closed) with a video intercom. Through the intercom we found out there were some people up there but they didn't want to let us in unless we brought them some arbitrary quest item (can't remember what it was but definitely something stupid). They were weird, those people. Had this eerie thing about the way they behaved, moved and looked. I later found out they were the rich caste of this city who had the resources to fight with the infection. They didn't find the cure though, they were only able to cover up their "zombieness" through something that was a mix of make-up and painkillers. They lived this decadent lifestyle of pretending everything's alright and ignoring the hell below, just outside the elevator. They were as trapped as we apparently. I also seem to remember they had a designated group of people (usually the less-rich, with a bit of "zombie" shining through the make-up) who ventured down from time to time to gather resources. Rotten food, broken electronic devices, debris.

I think this decadent civilization - rotting from the inside, painfully aware of their fate and slowly going insane - scared me more than the normal monsters.

I don't think we got out. I didn't die (some others were less lucky) but I got stuck near that elevator.

In my dream world, I had suffered something in the past. It was caused by some evil lord or something. It led me mad, had something to do with Portal. This was some five years in the past.
In the present, I'm going to his... lair, I think, which was in the 18th floor of the building I live. It was a modern apartment, with these glass façades. I remember looking out of the window into a park (which does not exist). Then I met him, and was afraid of the suffering that he could cause on me.

That's all I remember. I woke up quite scared.

I actually dreamed I died the other day. Me and my dad were out at some place, no idea where, all I remember is there were a bunch of old classic cars around, and it was night. In a feat of extreme stupidity, I decided to just hop in one and go joyriding down the highway, which was ridden with big hills, and disregard the 60km/h speed limit, deciding 100km/h would be more fun. The physics were like Mario Kart 64, so I was literally flying over the hills. Sure enough, I hit another vehicle. Just the corner of my car clipped the corner of theirs, which sent me spinning, and with the crazy physics, that meant spinning through the air at some insane speed, not touching the ground at all. I knew I was fucked, and sure enough the car flew into an overturned tanker and exploded. It was just like when your car explodes in F-Zero X; the camera stops and you see it fly into the truck and just kinda get replaced with a small pixellated explosion, not throwing any shrapnel or damaging anything besides the (now non-existent) car. I immediately respawned on the ground where the camera had stopped, as if I'd jumped out (but I know I had been in the car when it exploded), and woke up as I was walking back.
(Oddly, I haven't been playing a lot of N64 games or driving lately...)

Another odd one, last night, took place in the local college. It was much darker than usual, and people were crowding the hallways (all doors to classrooms were locked) being very loud, talking and playing music, basically partying but not very hard. It was as if all the students had broken in in the middle of the night and thrown a party, except nobody cared about them being there, and it wasn't dark out yet. It was raining out, and a few areas of the building differed from reality - some had double doors like most high schools I've seen (one set of doors, and then another set about 2 metres later), and there was a large sort of lounge area with a couch in it kinda hovering in the air, where there normally would have been a bunch of rooms.
I wandered toward my locker and met a girl I'd been wanting to talk to for quite some time, but hadn't seen lately. I wanted to show her something on my laptop, but (oddly enough <_<) I didn't have it with me, so I immediately turned around and ran off to get it. (I can be pretty dumb in dreams. I didn't even try to talk to her before doing this. ) I ran up to that lounge area where one of my high school friends was sitting eating a giant pile of Toaster Strudels (a superior, but hard-to-find version of Pop Tarts). At that point my goal changed from "retrieve laptop to show her (whatever it was)" to "retrieve toaster to make her the best damn piece of toast ever." (And yes, I planned to carry the toaster, bread, jam, plate and knife with me, instead of making it right there.) I then realized I'm not great at making toast, and decided it'd be better to borrow one of his (what were now) Pop Tarts for this purpose. I woke up as I was carrying the toaster back down the stairs.
What's odd about this dream is she does exist, and I have been wanting to show her something on my laptop for a while now. No idea where the midnight party or toaster stuff came from though, or my friend who doesn't live in this province being there, or why I didn't ask her to follow me or at least say hello before running off. O_o (Or why my laptop wasn't either in my backpack or in my locker.)

Technically this was the night before last, but I did dream that I was befriended by an overly outgoing octopus at an aquarium. It kept climbing out of the pool, coming up next to me, and draping one suckery arm over my shoulders. It got a little unnerving after a while.

The other dream was less amusing, in which I was chased around a mall by a fat guy who apparently wanted to kidnap me. Eventually I enlisted help from one of my own fictional characters, but fatguy just beat the crap out of him and left him somewhere. The dream ended (thankfully) as I teamed up with some guy to steal a car and escape by driving it into a Catholic church.

It was far more detailed than this, but I'm feeling lazy and you're probably not interested in hte details anyway.

Since I started posting here I've had a few dreams about this forum. Don't remember much of them, but I know one involved me getting told for going off-topic. :P

Lately I've started to forget all my dreams as soon as I wake up, which really sucks. The last one I can remember properly was about me running around in a dark alley, shooting Half-life 2 zombies with a shotgun. In the end a giant face with fingers instead of eyes (like, wtf?) appeared out of nowhere and scared me into waking up. First and only zombie-dream so far in my life.

I had a pretty vivid one last night but it's gone now. :x It was really weird and the end of it had a beach ball.

ok so don't read it. some people think its fun.

the dream i had the other day was very bizarre, i was going to what was supposed to be apparently a small orgy among friends but everyone just kind of ended up leaving their clothes on and laying around talking... it was quite odd.

I frequently dream that I'm so tired that I move very sluggishly and can't talk. This is usually the height of the suspense. Last night, I dreamt I fell asleep ( :? ) and when I woke up (again, in the dream) I thought I had slept but found that I woke up the previous day and went about my business but when I woke up (in the dream) it turns out I completely forgot the previous day

I've had a very important dream about morals, being oneself and what's important in life. Naturally, I forgot nearly everything.

I remember there was this weir mentor guy wearing sunglasses that talked the leading character (me?) into progressively more outlandish stuff (sort of like in Fight Club). That culminated in a bank where the two of us were making a robbery with empty guns. I've asked him how are we gonna get out of that and he described a very convoluted but failsafe plan. It would get me out of trouble but he would have to die (and take the blame, something like that).

And then there was another part with some kind of a doctor operating baby Siamese twins. That was all weird and made little sense but had some moralizing values.

I had a dream about Sarah Palin last night. I remember some women were trying to stop me from going into a church because i didn't believe in God, but all I wanted to do was use their bathroom. And I had to address my high school friends, half of whom were sitting there for some reason, and ask if any of them would let me use their bathroom. But my friend said very sadly that his apartment was too far away. And then the lead woman turned out to be Sarah Palin, and even though we got into a grand big argument, I ended it by saying, "I'm glad I met you." Very tongue-in-cheek, albeit. And she replied samely. So I've met Sarah Palin in my dream. There we go.

I had an odd dream in that it was pretty normal.

I recall getting off the train, meeting with an old friend of mine and going for a drive. He had a 4x4 for some reason, instead of his usual beatup Ford, but given he lives out in the boonies, that's not too implausible. We went round to his place, had a BBQ and caught up with a couple of friends from nearby. I remember it getting dark, so we built a fire and stayed up most of the night, cooking sausages and drinking way too much beer.

I just realized this sounded like almost every weekend, about 4 summers ago. Way too much spare time and nothing to do.
You know, I'm not really sure what "socioeconomic class" I am. I'm richer than my parents, I don't have a real job, and my mannerisms tend to match up with whomever I'm talking to.

...is "con man" a social class?

I had two slightly odd dreams last night.

The first involved me being pregnant with tiger cubs, then giving birth to them. The she-tiger chose me, okay.

The second involved FaiD. FaiD got more subforums [including one for Felstaff]. It also became a real place, somewhat like a medieval castle. There was a proper jousting arena, and Jessteur [I dunno] as well as the Daily Felstaph had their own audience rooms. I remember being a bit annoyed that I didn't have one.

You can have one when more people post in your thread.

And my dream was a mess last night. I keep having recurring dreams about wearing animal heads. But this time it was like I was playing Mafia for real, and there were lots of close calls to me dying, but then it turned out it was Marge Simpson who was completely insane and had begun killing and eating people. For some reason I had taken to wearing a pig's head, while someone else had taken on the aspect of the boar. We thought the police had come to arrest us for all the blood, but they took Marge away instead.

Except that they let her out and the last scene of my dream was her feeding Bart and Homer cooked human in order to 'fatten them up'.

Fething weird.

I had a dream I was watching firefly, only River Tam was 6 years old (she was really cute that way, in a non-pedo way), which made sense to me since Simon had said she was just a little girl. the only thing that confused me at the time was how could kayley be friends with someone so much younger then her. then I woke up and was confused about that dream. then I woke up out of that dream into reality. that was the second recursive dream I'd had that day, I also had one in my afternoon nap. which is strange, I don't recall that it happens to me often.

I had the weirdest goddamned dream last night... I could fly, and I was flying around in the backyard, when I noticed that my ex-boyfriend's window was wide open. So I flew up and started peering inside, and just when I noticed that the poster I bought him was gone from his room, I heard sirens. Apparently someone had noticed the flying peeping tom that I was, and called, like, every law enforcement agency in the area. There were policemen and sherrifs and armymen, and they all were screaming and trying to take me down because, apparently, I was a threat to security or something. I flew off just as they were rolling in half a dozen cop cars and army tanks...

Wfff. Apparently my subconcious self is a nosy threat to the nation.

Double post, I know, I'm sorry, but it's a different day...

I had two dreams that I remember last night... the first was kind of odd.. I was in this auditorium-type place, and was some sort of newscaster. There were four people at the table, who, in my dream were the British president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. (Yes, I know that's not correct, but shhhh, it was a dream). We were talking about the British and US elections (Which, in the dream, were happening at the same time), and I had the pleasure of telling the long-haired sexy British treasurer that his position included the duties of being foreign correspondant to the US. The look on his face, like "Oh gawd, WTF, are you serious??" was PRICELESS.

The second dream was MUCH longer, and MUCH more complex... I was at a hotel with my old high school friends Wei-Ping and Maggie, and there was this huge pool out in the courtyard... in the middle of the pool was this huge, tall platform, at the top of which was a heart-shaped hottub. Everyone wanted to get into the hottub, but you could only get up there when the lifeguard would put the ladder up, and he wasn't there. So, since I was the only person in the dream who could fly, I flew up to check it out and tell everyone how it was.

But I got busted by hotel security, so they all herded us into this massive wooden structure, because at this point the pool had been changed into a small-ish waterpark. There were THOUSANDS of people in the line, and I was fairly near the bottom. Well, I was just hanging out, talking to Maggie and Wei-Ping, when someone asks me to check on someone "in the shower" up on top. So I fly up, see what she's doing (Mostly looking depressed in one of those pool/beach showers), and while I'm up there, I see this big guy in an anti-gay t-shirt, and this also-big guy in a leather coat bear hugging him. (But in a vicious way, like, he was wrestling him) So I go back down to tell everyone when I saw, and I see one of my two biggest high school crushes, Brian, walking towards me. Apparently, he was the one in the leather coat, and he explained how he was protecting the homosexuals from this biggot.

Well, suddenly, there was no one in line in front of me, and even though I knew there were people behind me, I couldn't see or hear them. There was just me and Brian. I asked him if he was going back up to where he was in line, but he just said "Oh, it's okay, we're not too far" and stayed with me. He was so tender, and kept looking at me to make sure I was happy. We went through the line, which went through different themed rooms, and in each one he'd point out things he thought I'd like. At one point, we went through this room that was done like the night sky, with the Disney princesses done up in sparkling lights like stars/constellations. "I thought you'd like this one..." he said as I gaped, wide-mouthed-and-eyed. It was so nice, and he was so caring, I really felt loved.

But then I started to notice the people behind me, who were pissed that I'd held up the line this long, so I started rushing ahead, not paying enough attention to Brian. I got to a point in the line where there was a silver metal tube and I just jumped in, figuring it was part of the line. I was wrong, though, and Brian stood behind at the cubbies, with a sad look on his face, because I'd ignored him. The tube ended up being long and filled with rainbow light, and then dumped me out in this huge, round, spiraling room with pickup trucks in it every few points. It was one of those "toilet bowl"-style water slides, but right when you entered, they shot dry-ice fog at you, and I made the mistake of taking a deep breath in right when they did, so I started having trouble breathing and woke up from the dream in a coughing spasm.

Bah. The coughing's 'cause I'm sick, but it was such a nice dream... I liked Brian for a good 2-3 years, and he never returned my affection. It was nice to have him there, in the dream, caring about me.

I dreamt that my boyfriend was trying to get a hold of me and my phone was turned off. The day before I actually turned off my phone so that I wouldn't get any phone calls from my co-workers... then I turned it back on before I went to bed. Ever had a dream that when you wake up you actually act upon whatever it was you were dreaming... so when I woke up I checked my phone and was so bothered..then I suddenly realized that It was just a dream!

After my alarm clock went off this morning, I decided I wanted to sleep in a bit more. I reset my alarm and fell asleep immediately. I kept having dreams about my alarm clock going off and me being completely unable to find it.

When I woke up for real, I found out that the alarm had been going off non-stop for over twenty minutes.
