That also sounds like it could maybe be a change in diet/exercise/other routine. Here I am talking with no actual knowledge. Bodies are weird, though. Any little thing...

Sarah- those sound a lot like a typical bout of PMS: sore, weirdly squashy feeling boobs and ravenous hunger are pretty standard for me. I've also noticed that my PMS symptoms have a tendency to switch every year or so, and maybe that could be the case for you as well and you just don't expect to be feeling like that. But it's not like pregnancy tests are fatal, and it's an easy way to put your mind at ease.

Today I found a website called adipositivity. It is full of photographs naked or nakedish or only-wearing-a-corset or wearing-low-cut-tops fat women. I like it; the photos are pretty and so are the women.

That is a really interesting web site. It reminds me a a lady who came to my college a few years ago and took pictures of women naked to make them feel better about themselves and their bodies. She usually did it for rape and incest victims.

Many of them are, indeed, hawt. Some of them are not my type, but hey, neither are good-looking guys. Doesn't mean the person in question isn't hawt.

Oh, that's such a good idea. I love art activism.

You, you are someone I like.

Dawww...she totally does.

This was the closest I found to me, exactly the same shape but I'm maybe a size bigger.

I think the goal of the website is fantastic, everyone should find beauty in who they are--right now, not when you go on a diet or dye your hair. It's hardest to be kind to ourselves.

While you may believe that, if I said that I'd have at least 3 people yelling at me, not to mention anyone on here who would probably do it.

I may believe that I'm not really attractive, but there seems to be a growing body of evidence which contradicts my thought process.

@ Jessica: I find "growing body" an oddly appropriate phrase for this particular topic...

Forget believing, I know I'm not attractive. And cameras only makes it look worse... my friend's grandpa took pictures of me hanging out with my friend once, and seeing them... oh god. I looked like the whitest little starved African child EVER. Nasty.

I had my OBGYN exam today. I have to say, those are in the top 10 most unpleasant things I have ever experienced. Speculums are a cruel invention. If I ever have to get a cervical biopsy I think I'm going to require a general anaesthetic or large amount of alcohol first. BUT.

- Not preggers. Yay!
- Boob squashiness and pain is probably just stress induced/PMS and nothing to worry about.
- Boobs and vag have gotten the "All's Well" stamp of approval from the doc.
- My blood pressure is, apparently, "perfect" (110/70). Every doctor I've been to has noticed this. I don't know why this is noteworthy.

After going cup, I would honestly never look back. I never imagined something could make periods, well, completely lose any hold they had on my life. Seriously. I no longer even vaguely worry about it as much as I used to.

My new doctor doesn't seem to understand that I'm using my pills to regulate my periods. I'm not concerned about the birth control thing because we're using other contraception anyway.

Still gave me a prescription though :)

Yeah, my doctor did a double take when I told him I wanted period control as oppose to birth control. He was getting into a lecture on the other options I had contraception wise when I told him I wasn't in a relationship (at the time) but had only had 4 periods in 9 months :P

To be fair I don't think it helped that Lolsaur was with me. That may have sent him the wrong signals. I probably would've been better off going back up to Aberdeen for a weekend and getting an appointment with my old doctor.

Chocolate...is very good. I'm over the crampy grumpy phase. Now I just have to wait it out and remember to go get a cup this month sometime.

I would like a nap though, but I don't think my supervisor would be down with that. Somehow...

I just had my second cycle (first full cycle) with my cup and I just love it! I wouldn't say that it keeps me from dreading my periods, my cramps are bad enough that nothing will ever stop that, but I really found it to be so much more convenient. I don't have to worry about taking tampons to work and how many I will need for a whole shift and that sort of thing. It did take a while to figure out how to get in without leakage though.

Girly thing I am sort of pleased with:
I noticed my nails are getting long. I don't try to grow them out, but if I don't bite them and don't cut them it seems to happen.
Anyway, I was thinking I would like them to be kept long through Halloween. Cause that would be neat. But normally right after I notice they are long one of them breaks. After that, I bite the rest off.
Solution: I gave myself a faux french manicure. Using off white nail strengthener stuff for the white part and clear shinny ness over it all I think it came out well. It is not as noticeable as a normal one, since the 'white' part is not white but maybe a pearl like color. It sort of looks like I have healthy nails! (unless you look closer, in which case you can see the slight un-even ness of the painted on lightness) Plus, the hope I have it that the nail strengthener will stop my nails from breaking before the holiday!
It might work. I will keep with the posted.

(on nail panting in general: I normally just paint my toe nails, since I am not one to think of matching things to outfits and such. I get it from my mom, who liked painting her toe nails for karate class. I have like 25 colors including reds, pinks, purples, blues, a couple greens, some yellow/peach like ones, and of course black. I like painting nails.)
I want to get to a place where I am neither conforming nor rebelling but simply being.
