Keyboard Tapping Noises

Postby Levi » Sat Aug 01, 2009 7:32 pm UTC

I love the tapping noise that most desktop keyboards make (or at least the old ones) but I have a crappy chic keyboard on my laptop. I have heard of a program that uses your speakers to make tapping noises when you hit a key, but I can't find one. My computer is a Mac, but I have Crossover, so I might be able to run a Windows program.

Don't think that would help too much. A lot of that sensation is enhanced by the travel on the old boards.

You won't regret it.

That looks nice, but... 65 bucks for an old keyboard? I think I might just look for one at a thrift shop.

The model, not necessarily the store. I have one from the same era back home (not an IBM, though), still working. Excellent keyboard.

As a professional keyboard junkie, I say $65 is too little spent. May I introduce you to the Das Keyboard?

15+15 shipping if you're willing to gamble on eBay. This sorta stuff is almost always "as-is" and you should look forward to making minor repairs. I had to reset a few springs on mine.
