Is there a dxdiag for ubuntu?

Is there some command that tells you about your computer's hardware like dxdiag does for windows?

lshw is one that's installed by default on Ubuntu (run sudo lshw in a terminal). There's also a GUI version of it that isn't installed by default - you can get it by installing the lshw-gtk package, then running sudo lshw-gtk. As far as I can tell, you get exactly the same information no matter which version you use.
