Headsets hurt my ears

Postby mitch1423 » Fri Jul 20, 2012 8:49 pm UTC

Okay so I use headsets for games mostly and a bit of use on skype, the first headset I got was worth around $20 so I just assumed the headset was hurting my ears. Now it seems to be that all headsets hurt my ears. I posted a thread in the gaming section a month or two ago and asked for suggestions for a new headset. I ended up buying a Steelseries Siberia V2. It just came, and to my dismay, the headset, although it works very well, still hurts my ears. Know any tips/ways to make my ears not hurt when using my awesome new headset?

I'm assuming you're not referring to the volume :)

I've used both earbuds and the full "cover your entire ear" headsets and both of them have some discomfort when used for a longer time. Makes sense: there has to be some pressure to some points in (or on) your ears in order for the headset to stay in place. Are your ears exceptionally large (or small) by any chance?
Quack!
