But yeah. Either way, an epic game. I can't wait until the next one.

That comic is hilarious. I was hoping it was real art but the dialogue makes up for it.

I saw that comic too! It is awesome! Besides the point... So like I'm doing the mage guild quests, and I got this necromancer's amulet... It is really powerful, but I have to give it to the guy. Should I use it to get my summoning and destruction up or should I just get on with the quest line?
Or something to that effect. Hell, I don't know.

Morrowind's Necro amulet was better, I say go on with the questline.
Staff of Worms is pretty badass looking, and you get to keep it.

The effect has NEVER worked for me, though.

Works fine for me. What you do is you shoot a corpse, and the corpse hops up and follows you around, fighting for you until the effect wears off. Sadly, it's only a 30 second effect, which is enough time to distract an enemy with their new dead friend, but not long enough to be worthwhile.

Undead armies are fun :) But I've noticed it doesn't work if you've use soul trap, whether you sucessfully take the soul or not

I honestly can't remember if multiple targets can be activated.. I think so, but I may be mistaken.

You can, but its only really useful for about three people/animals, otherwise it becomes a matter of you constantly bringing people to life.

Trying not to give too much away... when you start working directly for the Grey Fox, save often and in multiple slots. In case.

I'll try to be vague. On the last quest you have to sit in a chair. It may glitch you can't sit in said chair and you will never complete the Theives' Guild questline if you don't have multiple saves. I don't know how else to say it and I'd hate to be that guy.

Personally, I read through every quest in the Thieves' Guild. It didn't ruin it too much for me since it was pretty vague. The site pointed out several glitches and how to avoid them, too.

Pretty much, yeah. Use multiple slots, so that if you find that you're too far along, you can always go back to an even earlier save, etc.. rolling saves, basically.

Spoilering this one, yet still being vague
Spoiler:
During the quests for the Grey Fox's portion of the guild, you are instructed to go to Anvil and speak with the Countess. During this, a cutscene plays out.. my game got screwed up at this point and I had to reload my earlier save (three quests prior) to get it to work right. To keep it vague, this occurs after you steal some really, really serious stuff.

Thieves glitched up on me when I accidentally killed someone on a quest, had to pay the "blood Price". But the guy I had to go to only told me ABOUT the blood price, not how to pay it.
So, I was stuck.

I love that helm you get right near the end of the mages guild quests (as one of the necromancer items you need to fetch). I think it's called the Bloodworm helm. But anyway, it's basically this huge animal skull and it looks kick-ass. You're supposed to hand it in for the quest, but there's nothing stopping you from using it and never completing the quest.

IIRC you have to go to the same people to pay the blood price as to pay off your bounty. Lots of people will "talk" about it, but just the two can fix it. What's-her-name in Bravil (she lives right by the gate) and the dude that recruits you into the guild to begin with.
What did you bring the book I didn't want read out of up for?

It's not that much really. I think it's 500 gold or something. Not small change, but still pretty affordable.

Yeah, it shouldn't be hard to pay seeing as how you're supposedly a thief and there's plenty to steal and fence.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here before, but here's a blag of someone playing the game as an NPC (avoiding any quests, mandatory eating and sleeping, etc.). It's pretty funny, though there's only 17 (game) days of it so far.

360 here.

And it wasn't the price that's the problem. The Doyen just, never let me pay. I'd ask about the blood price and he'd simply explain it to me, no option for paying was anywhere.

Tomorrow I'm taking my calculus & data structures finals, finishing packing some shit and then I hand in my key and go the fuck home.

I'll mark my summer officially with Morroblivion.

Good Vacation Times, those Morrowind Days.

I came so close to beating Morrowind before my buddy wiped my hard drive trying to dual boot Ubuntu of all things for me.

Sorry for extreme necro post.

Ummmm, Oblivion hates me. Or rather, my computer hates Oblivion. I have a Toshiba A200 laptop with a Video Card that is supposed to run the Catalyst drivers, which I know are problematic, but even then, Toshiba doesn't support Catalyst. Oh, and I have a HP printer.

I've disabled all of the HP processes and updated my video drivers, but to no avail. It still crashes when I click Play from the menu.

Thanks for any help.

Based on what i'm reading about that laptop, you may have a hard time running Oblivion on it even without this issue.

One thing i found helped when i first got an ATI card was to use the drivers from the computer manufacturer's website, rather than the most current from ATI. For some reason the most current were causing my computer to overheat and crash after a few minutes of gameplay.

Um, what? I've got the Toshiba ATI drivers, so why shouldn't it run Oblivion?

Are you saying the specs are too low? It can run Minecraft Alpha at pretty good speeds, and that is a quite processor heavy game.
