I thought that was a fun and quirky game. Running and jumping hasn't gotten old yet and it was fun even though it wasn't as advanced as eg. N.

Has anyone tried Warfare: 1917 ?

That game is awesome!

@ Warfare 1917: Yup, I mentioned it*. It's quite fun. By the way, am I the only one that did the German campaign?

Ah, sorry. My bad.
Yes, the German campaign was a bit easier than the British as you could rack up some amazing bonuspoints on the early levels.

Edit for spelling.

No-one's bad. :)
But yes, it was somewhat easier. Though I didn't use the strikes much...

That 1917 game is seriously addictive. As I'm sure are most of the games here. I don't know if I should be proud of this thread or apologise for it - probably the second one.

Incidentally, the xkcd urban dead group is kinda... dead. If anyone wants to join, I'm looking to get back into Parslow (I'm there now). Maybe we should have a census?

I don't know what it is but if it isn't too time consuming I'll be happy to give it a go.
I'll have a look at the webpage and see what it's about.

Edit: I'm on my way to the Parslow Building. ATM I'm in the middle of a horde of zombies so it is doubtfull if I'll survive the night.

Iji is a pretty cool game, made entirely in GameMaker, you play as a cybernetic girl with a gun trying to save her planet.

I'm not very good with synopsis, so I'll just let you have a look.

Christian Pong

I found it on a Christian gaming site. Apparently the only difference between Christian Pong and regular Pong is that in Christian Pong, when you score, a man with a moustache taunts you.

Isn't there something against mustaches and taunting in the bible?

The ending is very pleasing. Although I guess the rest of the game's a bit easy for my tastes. Step 1: flamethrowers. Step 2: railguns. Step 3: moon base, equip flamethrowers. Step 4: own everyone for a long time. Step 5: profit Genesis.

The ending makes up for it all, in my book. Worth every second.

I used a similar strategy, step 2 is unnecessary. I was disappointed that steal money was so much more effective then investing. Investing is only worthwhile very late in the game, which seems counter intuitive.

By the end I was under perpetual assault so I couldn't change bases. The super endgame tanks are actually quite rough, you really can get to a point where you will just lose and have to abandon base. Awesome flavor and idea, lame but forgivable balance.

Chartgame

Practice your technical analysis skills in the stock market. The game gives you $10,000 and a random historical stock chart, and your performance is compared to the simple strategy of "buy and hold". Oddly addicting, especially when something like this happens:
Chartgame wrote:This stock was Wachovia Corporation (WB) from 14-Oct-03 to 02-Oct-08

You have
$51,558.84 (+287.04%)
in cash with 64 days held

Buy and hold would be
$815.19 (-92.60%)
in cash with 251 days held
Yes, I am Just. That. Good.

I gave up after 21-7 (to the computer is a cheating bastard). Trick is to get it on the edge so it goes to fast for the computer is a cheating bastard.

Edit: Chartgame!

Spoiler:
You have
$13,120.05 (+31.20%)
in cash with 172 days held

Buy and hold would be
$11,501.28 (+15.01%)
in cash with 251 days held

Why do you say the computer cheats? It's good, I'll grant you, but the player has some huge advantages. The computer has a maximum speed it can move it's paddle, the player doesn't. The computer doesn't predict where the ball will end up - it follows it instead, which the player doesn't have to do. I stopped at 31-50. You're right in that you have to get it right on the edge though.

A really cool game, if you ask me. Robokill. I don't know the exact story, but you are a robot, and you need to destroy your enemies (no shit) with your cool guns. Along the way you gain levels, and money to buy better weapons with. I am greatly enjoying it.

Robokill gets annoying when you're in a circle of suck. You go in a room, die, loose your path there, and money, over and over again, until you finally beat that room, and then you have no money.

zomgwtfbbq Mirror's Edge flash (Beta)

"Now, I can’t stress this enough. This is only a one level beta, designed to iron out a few bugs before release, and give you guys a chance to leave some feedback on the raw gameplay. There’s much more to the (also free) full game than just this level."

I suck at owning consoles so I love it when flash versions come out for awesome games. (Portal?)

Brad Borne has a real knack for making games where it's really fun to just run around and see what your character can do.

I have to say, it was a great idea to make the Flash version a more realistic take on Fancy Pants.

I just wish there was a bit of a reward for collecting all the bags...

Yeah. I collected everything there (bags and eyes) twice. But, it's a beta, so it's excusable.

99 bricks

Basically backwards tetris - you get 99 tetris-style bricks and the idea is to build your tower as high as you can as they fall. Harder and possibly more addicting than I just made it sound.

Probably one of the better flash TD games I've encountered. Combine gems to make towers, then you know the drill. A bit like WarCraft Element TD.

So, I'm thinking of using the compilation someone made a few pages back, adding the games that have been added in since then to the list, and essentially wiping this thread out so as to not have 25 pages of games.

Basically, kinda like what I did with the Online Names ID Thread thing.

Any objections?
