No, I already had the DM tame it. He's all ours.

So, hopefully tonight I'll be able to actually play the fucking game without my freaking computer deciding to gosh-darned crash again, the fucker.

Either that, or I'll just try to remember to save every half-hour or so. I'm tired of getting mostly through Summer and having it all be blown away.

I would like to play. What is it, a week in real time, a year in DF time? I'm just coming up on midterm season, but by the time the game comes around to me, I should be free and clear of those.

Annals
Xaddak
roundedge

You're turn consists of playing for one year DF time. You have one week to take your turn starting from when the previous player posted his save. E.g. SecondTalon has to post his/his save by tommorow (7 days after Yuri posted his).

God fucking horsecock shit. It really never fails.. it looks like I've got jack and squat planned in meatspace, so I make some kinda online obligation and WHAM.. I suddenly barely have time to check my e-mail when I get home. Ah, well.. yeah, just skip me. Only thing I was really going for so far was an execution chamber and fixing the shameful state of the Fortress Guard.

If there's a dispute we vote, but you know what, I don't think anyone cares and just wants this Bloodline to generate a cool fortress and story from all of the DF fans. I hope we can all agree with:

Players:
Xaddak
Roundedge
SecondTalon's SecondChance

It is Annals' turn.

Also, I'm not trying to ninja the game leadership, I'm just being over-enthusiastic i guess.

*Detailed Dwarf Bone Block Wall*
Engraved on wall is a superiorly designed image of a dwarf and a dwarf. The dwarf is striking a meanacing pose. The dwarf is striking down the dwarf. The dwarf is making a plaintive gesture. The dwarf is cowering.

I didn't see you on the other DF discussion but I'm sure we'd love to have more people on the list. Just so you know, OP's rules:
No completely new players. Any player that can keep his dwarfs alive for three or fours years can play.
(This means I can't play :P ) If you're good with that you're good to go.

Players:
Xaddak
Roundedge
SecondTalon's SecondChance
Kaeles

It is Annals' turn.
*Detailed Dwarf Bone Block Wall*
Engraved on wall is a superiorly designed image of a dwarf and a dwarf. This wall menaces with spikes. The dwarf is striking a meanacing pose. The dwarf is striking down the dwarf. The dwarf is making a plaintive gesture. The dwarf is cowering.
Hell, why not?

If only bone were a construction material. I would make my outer walls out of goblin bone.

Are you allowed to decorate stuff with bones? and by stuff, I mean blocks, cause it would be great to make the towers outta goblin bones. At the very least, we can make statues/other furniture, then decorate THOSE with bones and place them outside.
And yes, I want in. I've done two forts so far, and both survived, but I'm not sure if that's cause I didn't really get attacked or something like that. I basically just kept expanding/engraving, and just waited it out. I didn't manage my food so well though, I had huge farms and ended up ysing about 50% of my space just with food stockpiles filled with plump helmets, not even wine or prepared meals

I'm number 20075. Remember that. It's important

Basically the trend in the Bloodline
A. Keep them alive
B. Build something ridiculous/ help continue building something ridiculous
C. Tell us a story

Welp time to bother Annals to play because there's an buncha eager folks in line all of a sudden:

Players:
Xaddak
Roundedge
SecondTalon's SecondChance
Kaeles
Yuri2356
Mo0man

It is Annals' turn.

yea, I've played a bit, just took out a whole siege (only 20 goblins :P) with 3 marksdwarves!

Funniest thing to happen though, I had a goblin ambush, so I pulled my drawbridge and one fell into the moat, which had dried out by this time, and got stuck for awhile, I killed the rest.

After a few months, I realized he was still in the moat, so I send my marksdwarves over to kill him, and get a message "Ah, an ambush!", sure it was, right into the moat.

So now there are about 8 goblins running around in the bottom of the moat getting shot like fish in a barrel.
It was priceless.

Methinks you want the regular DF thread? This is just for a shared game we have going on where we swap the save after one year of playtime each (they're called bloodline games).

Well, I'm only midway through fall, but since the thread could use a bump, I thought I'd upload the movie of part of our tower's celebration ceremony. After much tedious channeling, the shaft for the foundations reaches all the way to the bottom level, and the stairs reach all the way to the top. Since we had all those goblins using up valuable cage space, well...

http://mkv25.net/dfma/movie-894-bookrainexecution

Anyway, halfway through this recording, one of the goblins gave us a bit of trouble (I guess being thrown 32 z-levels down didn't appeal to him?) but I had a macedwarf and some archers stationed nearby just in case. It's hard to see in the movie since they play back so fast, but he got punted off the tower, then shot through at least two times before he fell out of their range. His head came off in mid fall. :)

Also, here's a picture of the basement of the tower after all the sacrifices were completed (though some of the bodies have been hauled away).

Very true. Now that I'm watching the video, it looks like the green dwarves (trappers?) are 'dealing' with them in the game. Maybe I should change the light blue face to green?

Jeez, already? I didn't know it had been that long. Anyway, I'm in midwinter. Right now it's pretty boring, since I have everyone trying to get all the rocks cleaned up from the bottom of the tower so stuff can actually be built down there. Anyway, just give me another hour or so...

And here it is.
http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=617

I'll probably complete a more...complete...log, but truthfully nothing very interesting happened. The tower was dug out, we had a siege (no losses), two marksdwarves gained elite status and names, some wrestler was killed in a sparring match, a dog died of old age...oh, and no dwarven merchants showed up. What's up with that?
