If you're European you can still add me to your friends list and I'll lose to you. It'll replicate being in the tournament!

You could play Delbin then. It doesn't seem we'll finish round 1 too quickly.

I went 2-1 vs Mooman.

Game summaries in spoiler for any interested in watching.

Spoiler:
Game 1: TvZ: Moo fast expands with lings, I push the front with helions and simultaneously drop his main mineral line with marines to win.
Game 2: PvZ: I go for a 2gateway/1stargate stalker/phoenix, and moo does a roach push and destroys the power to my gateways, and then everything else.
Game 3: PvZ: I go 3 gateway blink stalker push, moo defends it with lings/roachs, we both expand. I cannon off my base and kill off all his drones with DT/Void Ray (mainly DT).

To Moo, solid play overall, however the first game I think you needed speed upgrade faster, I think I got a bunch of lings before you had it. Also, since you have the expo, you can spare some minerals on spine crawlers. Also the last game I think while your economy would be behind, you could recover with overseer and still have a chance (although maybe not if I didn't accidentally lose my void ray).

Myself and Tomo just played our games.

Spoiler:
I won 2-1, mostly because Tomo was slightly intoxicated and trying out crazy builds. :P

Game 1: Lost Temple
Game 2: Metalopolis
Game 3: Scrap Station

Game 1 was pretty damn epic.

Spoiler:
There's nothing crazy about building nothing but phoenixes and cannons, phoenixes are awesomes! To be honest I thought you were a silver level player though, had I known you were plat I would have played like I did in game 2 the whole time. And not been drinking for 5 hours :3

The games were a lot of fun though!

Yeah, it's pretty funny; in one week I don't think I've ever seen aaron actually online even though from the looks of his match history we've both been playing every day for at least a couple hours each. Tuesday it is.

day[9] has a good live casting setup. I'd imagine Husky, HD, and any number of less well known casters do too. Think it'd be acceptable to ask them all if they'd do some live xkcd casting?

Definately, casting that much that often has got to be a lot of work, not even counting playing and RL

So maybe not day[9], just mentioned him cause I was watching a daily. There are still a ton of other casters that are really good though. Just saying if we want to get them to cast us, now's probably the time to ask.

I'd be willing to try my hand at casting a few of the replays to see if I'm any good, If we get any great replays I'll give it a go. What software do people usually use to cast?

It's crazy how much of a jump it is from gold to platinum skill levels. That's the first hellion drop I've had to deal with and I was punished so much for my mistakes. Gonna play some more 1v1 now :).

The two people that signed up as casters are both EU, not NA. And I've had to pull out because my screen capture is buggered, so I'd need to get hold of FRAPS to work it. Also I've got commentary to record for a few wrestling DVDs.

Things I now have: Fraps. Give me a little time to work this all out and I'll go back and cast the games that have been played so that when we look back at our sexy tournament it'll have commentary that probably matches my playing.

Sorry to hear that aaron, I was pretty excited for our game.

Do we have anyone that wants to take his spot, if we can finish the matchup anytime over the next few evenings? I can play 6-9 am EST or 8-10pm EST for the next couple days.

Heh, I used to play protoss while I was learning and my friends would regularly destroy me with Hellion drops, so when I switched to terran I decided to practice it a lot to be as annoying as them :P

Just a heads up - if the patch comes out on NA today, I wont be able to play. I cant download the patch via the blizzard downloader, so I must wait until some 3rd party site puts up a patch mirror.

Ah, I found it.

Blizzard wrote:StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty – Patch 1.1.1

Bug Fixes

* • Fixed an issue where Ultralisk cleave range was being unintentionally extended by larger targets.
* • Fixed an issue where the Phoenix's Graviton Beam was automatically canceled if you used it just after the Phoenix reached 50 energy.
* • Fixed an issue where queuing Return Cargo on a worker would cause it to ignore the built-in delay after it finished gathering.
* • Fixed an issue where players watching older replays or saved games would experience stuttering.
* • Fixed an issue where some Mac users were unable to join games properly.

Well that didn't take long :) Glad I didn't practice that trick. I imagine there must be a ton of whining over on TL about 'dumbing down the game' and analogies that make no sense whatsoever?

There are obviously going to be some who share those sentiments, but most people seem to recognize that the rate at which you can spam c click c click c click c click is not related to RTS skill, and that this is in fact a glitch, and thus should not be rewarded.
