Dissapointments.

What shows have people watched with eager enthusiasm and found they were utterly terrible?

Or at least dissappointing somehow...

...

Bodacious Space Pirates. NOT exactly as it says on the tin. Terrible voice actors and a poorly researched theme makes this anime....dissappointing.

Dragonauts. Oh my god. Five minutes into this anime they already murdered at least 20 people. But when the enemy burst into a

Pretty much every season of Doctor Who. Every season, they set up for a mind blowing, mythology filled grand-over-arching storyline, and every season, they touch on it for maybe 10 minutes in the grand finale, resolve it with a deus ex machina, and completely forget about everything in the next season.

EDIT: Awwww sheeeett, I think this was my 1000 post.
I already have a hate thread. Necromancy > redundancy here, so post there.

Okay now granted, that is how they do the new series. but the OLD series was much different.

Like the "key to time" finale.

Heroes after season 1.

It was a slow, slow decline, and by the end I was just watching to see how low it could get.

The Legend of Korra, as it stands, wasn't nearly as gripping as Avatar: The Last Airbender. There's still more chapters to go though, apparently, so I guess we'll see.

Shakugan No Shana.

Starts out great... with a disturbing and deep first few episodes that makes you contemplate the meaning and morality of existence... and then quickly then turns into a loli-infested fanservice love-triangle fest with shallow Monster of the Week villains.
First Strike +1/+1 and Indestructible.

Da Vinci's Demons. Tom Riley and Lara Pulver have done amazing work elsewhere -- but this show completely squanders them as actors with its deplorable writing.

Goyer should always be constained by someone else with better, more consistent sense.
