What, nobody's mentioned The Wire? The first season had one bad scene, out of thirteen one hour episodes. Every other second of that show is perfect.

Monk. That has to be THE BEST SHOW I've seen, in my life. Hilarious, but with a story.

(Of what I've seen) I like Monk, but I wouldn't say it was the BEST SHOW EVAR.

I think Spaced is still my favourite show - I was watching some of series one over the weekend.

Daisy: In the end, our relationship was just like a sandwich toaster. You know, you just forget you've got one. And it just sits there on the top of the cupboard collecting a layer of greasy fudge. And even if you do see it you just assume it's broken, you think if it's working I'd be using it all the time, but you don't and it just sits there. Then one day, you get an overwhelming desire for toasted sandwiches, you know? And you get it down and it works, and you can't believe it, you know? And then you make every kind of toasted sandwich there is, you have toasted sandwich parties. You make Marmite and cheese, chocolate and...
Tim: Pilchards.
Daisy: Banana and...
Bilbo: Acorns.
Daisy: Acorns. And then as quickly as the desire comes, it just goes. And then you put the toaster sandwich maker away. And, you know what?
Tim: What?
Daisy: You don't miss it.
Bilbo: So what you're saying is 'Don't hide the toasted sandwich maker away, use him regularly and you'll get the most out of him'.
Tim: No, she's saying 'Chuck your boyfriend, have a sandwich'.

Hmm. Point, but then series 3 was a bit weak, compared to 1 and 2. And yet, series 4 was awesome, but its not as classic as Spaced I guess.

I'll go run from the pitchforks now. I must be the one person on Earth who enjoyed that series.

In no particular order: Heroes, Scrubs, ER (I know, I'm a sucker for medical dramas), Law & Order: SVU, Firefly, Drive (Or what aired of it -_-), and Third Watch. Third Watch was just entirely too good.

I don't watch a lot of TV, so I don't have a lot of standards to compare to. That said, shows I've seen and liked:

Eureka
Bones
Veronica Mars season 1

Yeah, I don't watch a lot of TV. I've yet to see Firefly, but I'm assuming it will get added to this list once I have.

Law & Order (all flavors) isn't really like the second coming or anything, but it's very good for Saturdays when you're doing chores around the house and you just want a marathon of consistent, satisfying quality to have on in the background. This is helped along by the fact that it seems like there is ALWAYS an L&O episode airing at any given time somewhere.
