American Gladiators back on TV

Postby Princess Marzipan » Sun Feb 17, 2008 6:02 pm UTC

American Gladiators is back in production with new gladiators, contestants, events, and Hulk Hogan.

I don't think a lot of people are aware, so I figured I'd let you all know here. The finals of the first season are on tonight at 7.

I'm always amazed they can be called gladiators without the serious risk of evisceration by lion.
I can't actually think of a reason as to why we shouldn't allow real fights to the gruesome, gut-spilling end to take place, while sweaty, hyperventilating teenagers bust a porno-violence nut watching a man's neocranium un-sututured by axe. Apparently this is not a common ethical position.

I watched it all. Was ok. It's good to watch while you eat. I'm hoping for a dozen seasons with re-runs that run for the next 20 years. Not really because I love it or anything, but more because it's always good for a smile as you're flipping through...
Title: It was given by the XKCD moderators to me because they didn't care what I thought (I made some rantings, etc). I care what YOU think, the joke is forums.xkcd doesn't care what I think.
