The reason that people thought that the first season of Heroes was good was because it was the first season. The pilot was a jumbled mess of half a dozen storylines, but it's the pilot, so of course it's going to be confusing, right? And they kept adding new characters left and right, but it was the first season, so of course they're going to be introducing more characters as the season goes on. And they kept having storylines that didn't go anywhere, but it's the first season, so of course they're just building up the mythology for later seasons. The audience is left wondering just what exactly the characters' powers are exactly, but it's the first season, so of course things are going to be a little unclear. Characters are constantly spelling things out for the audience, but it's the first season, so of course they need to get the audience up to speed quickly.

Then we get to the second and third seasons, and the episodes are still jumbled messes, they're still adding characters left and right, they're still not resolving storylines, we still don't know for sure what people's powers are, and it's still full of clunky exposition, and people finally start to clue in that the show is crap.

You leave Lost out of this! I'm voting for Firefly, but only as it's the lesser of two evils.

FIREFLY. FIREFLY!!! I spent fifty fricking dollars on the episode DVDs, and I don't regret a cent because it's awesome.

The notion of watching DOZENS of superheroes every week galls me. My limit is one Hero/Sidekick team per medium unless they're a Five Man Band, and that Five Man Band needs at least one Badass Normal. If you put upwards of TEN special snowflakes together and they're not the X-Men (and even they have a core cast of five or six), I will not watch it because all the powers are automatically cheapened.

Also because I have crappy memory and it'd take me a while to remember everyone's names.

Sure, the point of the show is that anyone can get superpowers, but Heroes' shipload of characters is ridiculous. just reading the character sheet on TV Tropes makes my head spin.

Did I mention how awesome Firefly was?

Fuck Heroes! I want all my hours from season 2 and 3 back!!!

Fuck you Heroes writers, you idiots have no business working in television.

I sold my season 1 dvds for 10 bucks because I couldn't stand having it on my shelf anymore.

Give me Firefly anyday of the week, I will do horrible horrible things for a new season.

Season 2 and 3 were so bad that it diminished season 1 in my eyes.

Definitely Firefly. Mr. Belial, your critique of Serenity has restored my faith in you as a human, which I'm sure is assuring to you, as a not-raptor.

I think we need a control Velociraptor's reaction to Firefly. I mean, they're fearless killing machines who are incapable of wearing hats, but who says they can't have good taste? For all we know, raptors could love Firefly!

Raptors actually do love Firefly, however, they see the Reavers as protagonists.

Who could root for the reavers when there are those hands-of-blue guys about?

Internal bleeding devices are far too refined for raptors. Where's the fun?
