Six Feet Under - happy or sad? (spoiler warning)

Postby Zohar » Tue Jul 17, 2007 11:01 pm UTC

Hi.

I just watched the series finale of Six Feet Under. I love this series. I also thing it ends very optimistically. Strangely, a different guy who saw it with me said it was very pessimistic.

What do you think about the ending and the show in general? Do characters change over time? Do they become better people? I think they do.

Specifically in the last episode, even before the awesome flash forward, I think it's optimistic - everyone started out sucky and got better in one way or another. Not perfect, but better than where they started at.
Mighty Jalapeno: "See, Zohar agrees, and he's nice to people."
SecondTalon: "Still better looking than Jesus."

Not how I say my name

I wouldn't call it optimistic or pessimistic. I would call it realistic. Everyone had good times and bad times and eventually died. That's life. That's the whole point of the show.

God I loved that show.

+1

Great show. Ending was a nice wrap-up. Life goes on.
