I had fallen in love with a character from this one anime, but due to a concussion, cannot remember the name of the anime or the character. Either way, its lead me to beleive something about destiny, that I should probably get out of my head.
Or something to that effect. Hell, I don't know.

Philip Seymour Hoffman's character in "Charlie Wilson's War." What a cool guy.

Sumire from Sputnik Sweetheart and Midori from Norwegian Wood (both from Murakami novels). and from movies, i'd have to go with Maggie Gyllenhaal from Stranger than Fiction. she's pretty much perfect in that movie.

I have the huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugest thing for the Prince of Persia.

I played all of the games for his sake alone. (Despite the fact that the games are awesome.)

I'm pretty sure if I had known a person/girl with the same personality (and looks) as the Anna Stern character from season 1 of The OC, I'd be going out of my mind :/

Of course, Kaylee from 'Serenity' had a rather cute personality too.

Edit: Oh yes, and if I were into much older women, the Amy character in The West Wing.

Also Fox Mulder from the X-Files, yes, I am a male heterosexual and I love Fox Mulder, real love... that guy is pure awesome.

Kristen Bell went to my high school...for some reason, I can't watch anything she's in without retching.

As for Fox...he has to be a god in some as-yet-undiscovered dimension...it's the only explanation.

Seriously? She wasn't cool and nice? I remember watching an Actor's Studio with Hugh Laurie and before he talked I was praying to myself "Please be witty! Please be witty!" and I was very pleased to find out that yes, he was witty in real life. :-) So, since Veronica Mars is such an awesome character, I'm hoping the actress is, too. Not really sure why I want that, though.

Did anyone watch/enjoy Californication*? Whether he knows it or not, that's the role Duchovny has been waiting his whole life for. He was perfect in it, and all the things I love about Fox were exemplified a hundred times over in Californication. *Swoon*.

* It's pretty good despite just coming across as a boob fest.

She graduated when I was in seventh grade...so I never actually met her. According to teachers who remember her, she was a very nice person. It's just that when she got the lead role in Veronica Mars people were making a huge deal out of it because she was a 'local' celebrity...and that annoyed me for whatever reason...

Characters I've fallen in love with:

Kaylee, Firefly. Kaylee is awesome. Inara catches the eye first, but the combination "cute" and "awesome with machines" quickly catches up, and then easily beats it.

Angua, the Discworld series. Smart, competent, good looking, and a werewolf. Could you ask for more in a girl?
If I were a Viking god, I don't think I would fall for that.
But if I were a Viking, that's exactly what I would do.

How can you study geometry and not believe in a God?
A God of perfect points and planes,
Surrounded by arch-angels and right angles

Alana from The Girl Fom Tomorrow. It was a kids TV series from the 80s that involved a 14 year old girl travelling back in time from the year 3000 to stop the world being destroyed.

I miss her to this day...

Keira Knightley in Love Actually and Bend it Like Beckham. In fact I'd fall in love with her if she was just washing the dishes.

Meg Ryan in You've got Mail and French Kiss

River from Firefly

Boomer from BattleStar Galactica (the new one)

Juno from Juno

and love isn't exactly the right word, but because they were both romantic movies I might as well list them
The two characters from Before Sunrise/Before Sunset...strange two movies but man, so awesome. I was so glad that I waited a few weeks after seeing Before Sunrise before I saw Before Sunset, made all the difference.

Gregory House, M.D. (Hugh Laurie)
Detective Robert Goren, Major Case Squad, New York Police Department; Law & Order: Criminal Intent (Vincent Phillip D'Onofrio)
Detective Michael Logan, Homicide Squad, 27th Precinct, New York Police Department; only on orig. Law & Order (Christopher Noth)
Executive Assistant District Attorney John "Jack" McCoy, Borough of Manhattan, City of New York Law & Order; Law & Order: Trial by Jury (Sam Waterston)
Alexander P. "Alex" Keaton; Family Ties (Michael J. Fox)

Ooooh! I almost forgot McGuyver! How?!?!
Also, Thomas Magnum, P.I.
And David Addison, Jr. (Bruce Willis's character on Moonlighting)
Also, echoing the love of Fox Mulder, who is, to me, David Addison, Jr., only with aliens instead of drug kingpins.
Seth Brundle, the pre-fly version of Jeff Goldblum's character from Cronenberg's The Fly.

Also, on the other side of things, I'm a woman, but:
Claire Kincaid, Assistant District Attorney, Borough of Manhattan, "under" Jack McCoy, winkwink
Milla Jovovich as Joan of Arc in The Messenger
Bebe Neuwirth as Nikki Masucci in Deadline
Ashley Laurence as Kirsty Cotton in the Hellraiser films
