Universal Hall Pass - "Avatar"

I hear that tragic chorus now..
You hear them singing?
Refraining your whole life in the round.
So what?
So what?!
You won't abide
You can't confide in your riddle, no
If you would just stay in the moment.....
So where's that tragic chorus now?

I heard them singing
"Just pin that tragic hero to the ground"
So what?
So what?!
If you decide you're controlling the rhythm,
If you would just stay in the moment.....

Second, NOOOOOOOOOOOO. :)

I have this lovely long playlist of music that I adore:
Alesana
Braid
Finch
Glassjaw
The Gloria Record
Incubus
Mineral
Sunny Day Real Estate
30 Seconds to Mars
The Academy Is...

One (or two) of these are not like the other ones... ^_^

Right now, though:

I've been listening to both Commander Venus records. Yeah, that's Conor's old band. Deal with it. They're really not that bad. It's everything I like about Cursive and Bright Eyes, blended in a weird, backwards blender that makes everything younger.

Conor Oberst is god. Don't even deny it.

My song of choice lately, however, is a Bright Eyes song: "Haligh, Haligh, a Lie, Haligh".

It reminds me of one of my really good friends because it's his favourite song by him. :)

EDIT:
I forgot to name the song I'm listening to.

Heh, I've been listening to Fevers on repeat lately, because I've been sad and mopey. All my friends left for college, while I'm still a senior in high school. I guess that's what I get for making friends with older kids. Oh well.

That's pretty much why I've been listening to it, too.

I feel closer to my friends if I listen to music that reminds me of them.

Except, they're all off at far-away colleges and I'm at the community college here. Because I'm poor. And can't afford the $40,000/year school that I want to go to. >.>

I hope I can trick some schools into giving me financial aid. Reed, Sarah Lawrence, Swarthmore, Haverford, Beloit, Wash U @ St. Louis, New School, all of you will be tricked by me into giving me money for mediocre grades!

Hint: I am not looking forward to college applications.

Khanate - No Joy
So, I got tired of the fact that the appearance of my band name in my signature made my posts on this forum the dominant result when googling for my music. Anyway, if you think I might happen to be a good musician, you can test this theory here.
