Halfway embarrassed to admit this:

Dashboard Confessional - Stolen

Every time I come close to dismissing Dashboard, they come up with lyrics like "I watch you spin around in your highest heels", and I find myself giving them another chance.

Just downloaded some remastered albums by KMFDM, so I'm listening to them for the rest of the day.

I'm listening to Steve Reich's Piano Phase (in two parts on YouTube), because it is completely awesome. Also, the way they mirror the music changing with the slight shifts in phase between the two dancers at various points is very cool, as is the mechanic of the doubly-superimposed shadow dancer.

So much win.

As for my current Rhythmbox listening: it just finished "Shine On" on Gal-Gal-Galgalatz.

Edit: Now they're playing "I Don't Give Up" by Hadag Nachash. The chorus to this song goes "I don't give up, 'cuz I'm not from the geeks!". Due to this line, I have sworn a vendetta against Hadag Nachash. While it's not like I ever bought one of their albums in the first place, I've now sworn not to buy one of their albums. Goddamn pot-smoking hippies! HOW DARE THEY IMPLY THAT GEEKS "GIVE UP"!?

Der Blutharsch - 'the pleasure received in pain'.

Awesome martial-industrial tunes that make you want to rally 100,000 of your closest friends together and scream 'Sieg Heil' loudly and repeatedly.

Was looking up some Rotterdam hardcore and everyone was going, 'Oh me yarm, check out DJ Tron, he's the shit'. So I listened to half a dozen of his tunes and they're really not that hard. About on-par with Combichrist or Unter Null. Certainly not as hard as Neophyte and definitely not 'speedcore'. I was very disappointed.

And now I'm worrying that I might be so used to brutally hard, fast music that I'll never find new tunes that I think are truly 'hard' or 'intense'.

Dubstar, which is unexpected. And specifically listening to "Inside" at least ten times per day, this week. I can't even figure out why I like it so much.
