Bloodhound Gang

It's only cool if no one's heard of it.

Bloodhound Gang

Postby Durandal » Thu Apr 24, 2008 3:40 am UTC

Heh... because no matter what anyone says, they rock :D

For those of you unsure of who I speak of, perhaps this will jog your memory.

Anyway, it's always a lot of fun to quote lyrics (in rhythm) to friends. Even better is when it turns into a competition, as some of the songs get going quite fast and aren't exactly easy. My friends and I did this for a while on a long band bus trip, and ended up being pretty damn good at it.

I liked them when i was about 13. Actually, I still like them now when i'm feeling ridiculously childish. Although Hefty Fine.. does suck slightly. In the bad way. Hooray for Boobies FTW.

Man, I always feel so left out of Bloodhound Gang discussions because the only album I really know is Use Your Fingers, and, honestly, don't know any singles beyond "The Bad Touch" that well. I will say that the Jimmy Pop Remix of "Hash Pipe" is way slammin', though.
I have nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion.
And some old pictures.

I've seen them twice, met them and I can still only name about three songs. The only thing I could talk to Jimmy Pop about was that episode of Viva La Bam he was on, doing the scavenger hunt.

My favourite song of theirs. It's brilliant. Or the one that's all Ralph Wiggum quotes. Fuckit, all there songs are fun.

Oh, I forgot to mention that back in my AudioGalaxy days, I downloaded them covering "Undone - The Sweater Song" live and putting Wu Tang Clan hooks in the dialog parts. Pretty classy.

Personally, I'm glad that the childish pleasures of my preteen years are EVEN MORE GLORIOUSLY FUN now. The Bad Touch: Great song, or GREATEST song.

They've got a certain lowbrow appeal. I admit that "Fire Water Burn" is a pretty funny song and still a favorite of mine.
