July 2nd- Dream Theater with Beatallica opening. October 22nd- Roger Waters touring The Wall. Was going to get tickets to go see Rush in August, but that's just too much for tickets in a pretty short time span. I'm too poor for that.
Last- The Fray with Jason Castro opening

High on Fire
Baroness
Priestess
Black Cobra
Bison BC
and a couple more i'm forgetting.

My last concert was Jethro Tull. Ian's really losing his voice, it's too bad. Martin Barre is obviously aging as well - I think he needs to start practicing more to keep his skills. But nevertheless, it was a fun experience.

My next concert? Roger Waters is doing his new The Wall concert in Europe next year, so unless I find something else to go to in the meantime, that will probably be my next.

My last concert, depending on how you look at it, was either the Boston University Symphony and Chorus, who put on a pretty enjoyable concert which I appreciated and applauded politely at, or Sonata Arctica, who put on a kickass concert that left me having screamed enough to lose my voice.

My next concert is Massive Attack later this week, and I am super excited. :D

Then I must hurry to catch them live! :O
Must be fun, anyway... Jethro Tull is, to me, too good a band for a crappy concert to suck :P

Paul McCartney's Back in the U.S. tour—May 10, 2002 in Indianapolis.

That's the only concert I've been to. I don't have any specific plans to go to another. Do I win on time elapsed since last concert?

Amazing! They put on a great show, very energetic!
Kapranos doesn't sing so well live, I already knew that from some videos, but it seems he's mastered the techniques to cover that up (like suddenly skipping lines or changing the way some things are sung), so it doesn't affect the show at all

Very very jealous of everyone mentioning Muse in this thread. Haven't caught them yet, but I absolutely must before I die. And Silversun Pickups, who I actually have seen before (Lollapalooza 2009) and were mind-blowingly good.

Anyway, last: Three things might qualify.

1) Went to a free gig last weekend consisting of a few guys I work with playing improvised R&B-influenced jazz. Frank Drew & The West Side would be the name of the act, and they played at a casino in the Quad Cities. I've played bass with them before, several times, but I wasn't on the bill that time.

2) Attended the season finale of the Quad City Symphony Orchestra's Masterworks concert series last month. The program consisted of Copland's Appalachian Springs, Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1, and Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. The pianist who played on the Tchaik, Norman Krieger, gave a recital at the store I work at earlier that day, and he was an absolute class act and a total pleasure to work with - not to mention an astounding piano player.

3) Between The Buried And Me with Animals As Leaders and Veil Of Maya at the Picador in Iowa City last November. BTBAM was awesome, Veil Of Maya was meh, and I missed most of Animals As Leaders (which I was pissed about after the fact when I got their CD and fell in love with it). Not a big fan of the crowd or the venue, though. Guess I'm not a mosh pit kind of guy.

Next: No finalized plans, but I hope to make it to Lollapalooza 2010 and/or Alice In Chains, Deftones, & Mastodon in Chicago later this year.

Well I guess my last gig is now yesterday... Marco Pignataro came with a quintet to Puebla, Mexico, with super special guest piano legend Joanne Brackeen... it was mind-blowing and incredibly cheap, but a tad too short.

Muse was just in Mexico too, tons of friends went, but since I had Franz Ferdinand I didn't have the money... however, Muse is, for me, in the category of "bands that are simply awesome and I've heard and seem to be awesome but somehow I just haven't gotten into them", so it wasn't such a huge loss... yet

BTBAM sounds interesting, love their song in Rock Band, but I just can't seem to get into death vocals :s

EDIT:
HOLY *inputblocked*!!!!!!!
The 12th international Puebla festival is coming next week and I just looked at the list and... well, there's this nice Mexican prog band, Cabezas de cera... and there's Chucho Valdés, which should be interesting too... but my next concert will be... *drumroll* Chick *input blocked* Corea!!!!!! *dies with excitement* :D :D :D

Last: Chucho Valdés just a couple of hours ago :D
Next: Cabezas de Cera tomorrow!

But notably: Chick Corea yesterday... it was AMAZING! Simply amazing... hands down one of the best concerts of my life, I strongly recommend anyone who even kinda likes jazz and has the opportunity to see this MASTER at work, it's genius! I mean, dude had the audience singing like it was a rock concert, it was mind blowing! :)

I suppose it can count, since there was music along with comedy, but I saw Conan O'Brian tonight, and it was great, minus the opening act, which took 40 minutes, was almost 20 minutes late starting, and was not funny in the slightest. But Conan himself was hilarious, and whoever did much of the writing that was tailored to Columbus (I'm assuming he did it for every city) was brilliant.

Next will be Dream Theater July 2, possibly the Goo Goo Dolls July 18, and Roger Waters' The Wall October 22, but I'm pretty sure I already posted these.

Last: Went to see Hum in Millennium Park in Chicago on Memorial Day. For free. Oh yeah. Really, though, the show was awesome, and I would have gladly paid good money to see those guys. Kinda gutted they didn't play Apollo, though. Oh well, for a band that's technically broken up and only plays a few "reunion" gigs a year, I can't really complain.

Next: Chevelle, Ten Years, and a couple local bands are playing in the Quad Cities. I'll probably end up going since it's so close and I dig both bands, though they're far from my favorites. And I'm still hoping to make it to Lollapalooza or the Alice In Chains/Deftones/Mastodon show.

Not counting local bands, my last concert was seeing Flogging Molly in Rochester on February 27th with my girlfriend of the time.

My next concert may very well be this upcoming Friday with a girl I want to get together with. The singer of Streetlight Manifesto (Tomas Kalnoky) doing a solo acoustic set in NYC. I'm excited for it. Pretty much everything that guy does is golden.
