Jealous. I saw Streetlight and a bunch of other bands in Philly a few weeks ago. Really, really fun show.

Also I went to that Roots/Goo Goo Dolls 4th of July concert. I don't think I've ever seen that many people in one place before.

Just saw Boris last night with Michio Kurihara. It was mindblowing. Great balance between their heavy drone, ambient, and acid rock songs, too.

Last: The Faint
Next: Lollapalooza '10 (Soundgarden!!)

I'm such a freaking nerd that I built a spreadsheet detailing my live concert history. All the bands, dates, and venues in a friendly pivot table format! 68 shows, 157 unique bands and counting.

I'll be seeing Boris in a few weeks with Russian Circles. I have high hopes, so I am glad to hear that they were good.

Last: Modest Mouse. It was awesome.
Next: No clue. Because even though I live practically within walking distance of two popular concert venues, it might as well take an act of Congress for me to get tickets.

Apperently, not a big fan, I'm going because a friend had no one to go to. She said they were a metal version of Queen. And well, I really, really like Queen. I've got to get some of their stuff someday...

Still, looking forward to it. :D

Off to see Sir Paul McCartney tomorrow. Incredibly, unbelievably excited. Probably never going to go to a better concert than that one.

Last gig must have been Run at bristol. Oh man, a couple of hours of hatcha and mensah were exactly what I needed. Next one, probably something like this.

Last concert I saw was Jonathan Coulton. It was super happy-making.

Up next is The Birthday Massacre, provided I can figure out a way to do it and ever get home again. (It's in a city about 45 minutes over which is only serviced by a specific rail line which stops at an inconvenient hour, etc. etc.)

Didn't actually go to NYC that weekend, so I didn't see Streetlight. I went the following week and we went out to a dance club.

So Flogging Molly was still my last concert. Unless something comes up before it, my next one will probably be Star Fucking Hipsters playing in my town for the first time. It's rare that bigger punk acts come here, so I'm glad to see that they will be.

Last concert: Iron Maiden's Final Frontier tour
Next concert: PAX! Metroid Metal! The Protomen! Jonathan Coulton! I am super excited about The Protomen, it's been a couple of years since they came out west.

Last:
Bloodstock Open Air in Derbyshire. It was FANTASTIC (Amorphis, Opeth, Bloodbath, GWAR, Gojira, Ensiferum, Korpiklaani, Rage, Sonata Arctica, Devin Townsend...).
I present to you the sexy dreads of Tomi Joutsen of Amorphis:
Spoiler:

Next:
Possibly Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip in Glasgow. Saw them before and it was great, but I don't think the new album's quite as good as Angles. If not then it'll be Swans, also in Glasgow.

Dying to see - Deftones, but unlikely that they will make it to NZ

Ok, for reals this time . . .

Last: Andy McKee at the Redstone Room in Davenport, IA.

Next: Karnivool at Club Oasis in Louisville, KY TOMORROW. Yeah, I'm a bit excited - I've heard nothing but good things about these guys' live show, and their album Sound Awake has been blowing me away for the last couple months.

Last was still Flyleaf, since we had a couple of annoying failures in the 'going to gigs this summer' department: I wanted to get tickets to Them Crooked Vultures, but they sold out before I could, and we only discovered The Pretty Reckless a couple of days after they'd played their only gig in London (and their only gig outside the US so far, from what I can tell). I've got several gigs lined up for the next few months though - MGMT, then Paramore, then Jimmy Eat World. Plus a few smaller local bands.

Ah, must be awesome to see TCV...

On my end, I ache to cancel my going to the Arcade Fire concert, but it's a worthy substitution really... I get to see Wynton Marsalis instead =D
I don't know who is laughing at me right now that decided to have both concerts at the same time, but while AF is a pretty cool band, Wynton is a living legend... so:
Last: Still Zoé
Next: Not Arcade Fire anymore, but Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton "frickin" Marsalis

Last Concert: Green Day. I don't care much for their new stuff, but it was fun seeing them live, and tickets were relatively cheap.

Upcoming: Possibly I Fight Dragons. They're supposed to be doing another national tour soon.

Last: Bristol Rhythm and Roots (Bristol TN/VA) (bluegrass, folk, etc)
* Rockin' Acoustic Circus (talented kids)
* Sarah Jarosz
* Corklickers (by accident, but they were great fun though)
* Christabel and the Jons (local to me, small bar, no room to dance, bossanova!)
* Ian Gilliam and the FireKings (by accident during dinner. I don't like country :( )
* Shake it like a Caveman (in the street, best show of the day)
* Boulder Acoustic Society (I was excited for this, but it was kind of a let down, partially because we were in a concrete box, so the acoustics were terrible)
* a few others in passing

Next: Moogfest. excited for everyone there (it's the opposite of the above, lots of brits)

Treasure Island Music Festival looks awesome too! a little bit jealous.
