Cannot Solve This

Hello Everybody,

I'm new here and I hope this is the right place to post this post. I have a puzzle that my friend asked me to solve for him. I tried my math skills and with no result.
I don't even know if it has a solution or not!! So Maybe sharing is better. let me see your comments.
we need to find the values of A,B,C and D.

A - B = 9
+...+
C - D = 14
=...=
12 2

I hope It is clear, because I couldn't fine a way to add images !!

Re: Cannot Solve This

To make sure I'm understanding you, this is just a fancy way of displaying four equations?

A-B = 9
C-D = 14
A+C = 12
B+D = 2

Is that correct?

Spoiler:
Because if those are the four equations, then your title is accurate: this system indeed cannot be solved. The sum of the third and fourth equations states that the numbers must sum to 14, but the sum of the first, second, and twice the fourth equation states that they must sum to 27, which is a contradiction.
No, even in theory, you cannot build a rocket more massive than the visible universe.
