Quiz: Are You a Lonely, Pathetic Loser?

Postby voodooKobra » Fri Sep 07, 2007 12:21 am UTC

I wrote this quiz a while back, and I've been meaning to stress test it (to see how many people hit the highest possible score). Naturally, I thought of this place.

Post your results here. I got a 200.

Alright. Is there anything you suggest that I add? I'm considering adding a +25 for being a regular XKCD reader with a +15 bonus if you always understand the joke.

Maybe, I'll, like, print this out, and hand it to everyone I meet in the hopes I find someone who scores as high as I do...
also: add Klingon, Comic Con, and graphic novel/comic book points.

Hey, does the random person on KOL who invited me into her clan when I was a noob count as an online girlfriend? Or the girl who thought I was her boyfriend (that git went and called himself Rodan!)

205. I play GURPS, which is most definitely "anything related" to D&D, but unless I'm mistaken, the question following deals only with D&D. Because my GURPS character score is 250. :D

I got 25. Although I'm not sure if the question about D&D counts other RPGs? (MMORPGs?)

That sports thing killed me. I mean...I like sports. What can I say?

And I've never yelled "critical failure" but I have yelled lots of other nerd-related things.

Well, I'm not really a super-nerd. So. Yay?

If the MMORPG is enough to earn you geek cred, it counts.

195

Though I'm thinking of playing DnD soon so this'll probably raise.

Also, the only reason I know all my computer specs is because I've only owned two computers or so.

And I do have friends, just not many.

Also depending on you definition of "Online Girlfriend" I may or may not fall into there. So my guess is something like

195 ± 20 or so.

Edit: Also every MMORPG where you can get married fucking sucks dick.

Wow, you guys are losers.

I scored 55. If you count Cross-country, Spring Track, and Winter Track as three different sports rather than two.

Okay. Online girlfriend: If you and she thought of each other as boyfriend and girlfriend regardless of the fact that you've never met in person, it's an "online relationship." Otherwise, it doesn't count.

Nope, according to my first interpretation I got 195. But some things I'm not sure if I am classified under, so I might fall out of some groups and end up in some groups. Meaning I could lose some points, or gain some. And just off the top of my head I guessed about 20 or so points could be added/taken depending on the time of day and interpretations of the questions.

I scored 35. I blame this entirely on my love of playing sports at high school. Rugby, basketball, tennis, football, volleyball, badminton and shotput really knock my score down.

I got a 35 without any sports. And I'm not sure that I'm a big enough Star Wars fan for it to qualify for +20, but I took the points anyways.

155.

Haven't played a single sport though, so I guess that doesn't really help my score at all.

I got a 45....
mine were knowing specs of computers, the 1337(only the first one), I say LOL in real life...and I'm still cool...course, my school is really weird adn nerds aren't criticized..., and I have "sorta" hacked my school(made my own PHP proxy to get past it...and then my website was blocked)

...I actually have one person I really talk to online...it is where I "dispose" of most of my nerdy stuff...of course, two of my (real) friends are kind of wannabe nerds... like they think they are really cool because they know how to change the color of a cmd.exe window...and one of my emo...ish...friends(also real) has her own website..so...

lol...you really should add something about graphing calculators, like "have you ever wrote your own game in TI-BASIC...lol

edit:
and also, "if you own a T-Shirt about a web comic. Bonus: if you wear it as often as possible to social places"
My new blag(WIP, so yes it's still ugly..)
DEFIANCE!

I wanted to make a comment about the overuse of "lol" and wanted to request an addition to the quiz pertaining to my personal dislike of the overuse of the acronym, but I couldn't find a decent way of phrasing my comment, so here is a meta-comment about my dislike of the overuse of the acronym.

165, and I would score a heck of a lot more if some of this thread's suggestions were included.

About 215-220, in fact. More still as I tend to the math nerd end of the spectrum.
