7 Deadly Sins and their Combinations.

Postby muzzle » Wed Feb 07, 2007 12:44 pm UTC

If you arrange the 7 Deadly Sins around a heptagon label them A-G, and connect each Sin to the others, you get 21 secondary sins. For instance C + F (Greed + Envy) = Advertising.

I'm a fan of all seven.

It had to be said.

That said, I have a funny story. I was reading an astrology book, and it said my favorite sin was greed. My neighbor said, "I've seen this kid eat. It's definitely gluttony."

It's sad, but true.

I eat really really fast sometimes, like i often finish my meal before everyone has sat down to eat.

I'd probably have pride and then sloth.

I'm totally up for wrath. I'm really not bad at all with anger issues, which is why when I finally do unleash I relish it completely.

Shit! I don't know if it's really art, but it's actually super interesting. The little heptagon there? I would have changed one or two, but the rest are very good. Man... I can't get over that... that's just an extremely interesting idea...

I gotta find seven unrelated things and do that. Like, a banana, a chair, a turkey, a mexican guy (Sanchez) , laser beams, interplanetary travel and a calendar. Sweet.

The universe revolves around me, I am perfect, and it is not I who is wrong, it is the universe itself.

Nah that's Sloth+Envy. I think the idea is you want what other people have, but you can't be bothered to get it.

I like wrath because it makes me think of wraith, and then it's like, cool. I'm a ring-wraith.

used to be lust/envy but since i'm back in a relationship its be put under control and became more sloth/envy with good bursts of passive aggressive wrath.

I have a hard time choosing two.....

I'm a big fan of lust, sloth, pride, and wrath....in no particular order.

Okay, but now to actually answer the question...

It's laziness.

Thus where the sloth got its name. It's "slothful" because it moves so slowly.

Oh. I thought it was the animal being asked about, seeing as "isn't sloth also an animal?" was in a previous post.

Hahah, I didn't mean for that to sound as condescending as it was. Just pretty sure that was what was being asked about.

I could be wrong.

Because the early bible, and its derivative works, were derived in a time when society was still more or less tribal, and every member had to contribute if the group was to survive. So being lazy could doom your extended family.

What? The bible's moral code? Pretty outdated?

Shock.

In accordance with substitution of Heptagonal points for actual traits, I propose "AC" become the new insult of the xkcd fora.

Wouldn't that be a little AD of us? It might cause some EF amongst us, too. Are you even bothering to look up these heptagonal point references or are you being a DF?
