Thought I'd share this with a forum that might appreciate it.

That's really cool. It's procedurally generated, I imagine? It would make a great xscreensaver hack!

Have you tried making the vines in different colors, and starting from each of the different corners? I'm not sure whether I think that would look better or not. Now that I think about it, I think those would not be improvements, I like all the vines coming from the same place.
One of these days my desk is going to collapse in the middle and all its weight will come down on my knee and tear my new fake ACL. It could be tomorrow. This is my concern.

Thanks :) Procedurally generated, yes - lots of random factors like movement patterns and choosing when to branch.

I tried with random colours (with some restraints like fixed brightness and saturation) but the randomness seemed to always produce some horrid colours no matter what I did. I considered just randomly picking from an array of hand picked colours instead...

My goodness. That is sick ass beautiful.

Well, that's the first phrase that came to mind.

I really, really like it. If nothing else I'd just put it in the corner of your homepage/blog and let it sit there and keep rockin' while the actual content was going on elsewhere. I am a huge fan of procedural, this is very well executed.

Very nice. I like the color choice.
