1113.7 + 4.3 = 1118

(I didn't run the extra .3 for you guys. That run is always 4.3 but I usually round down cause i like to tell myself i need to run further (& I hate typing numbers on this iPad)).

I felt really good on Saturday and went farther than I expected... and then felt absolutely terrible today :( .

1123.5 + 1.9 = 1125.4

Due to a slight hangover and far to late bedtime yesterday, I didn't get enough breakfast, and lunch was two pieces of fruit.

I really didn't have the energy to run as far as I wanted :(

Todays excuse for the short run: I was really short on time, and figured that a short run focusing on speed, is better than not running at all. Even if it's just to keep up the habit of working out

I remembered this thread today, and decided that from now on my short runs (but fast, 15:10 min:sec today) runs are going to be 3.2 instead of 3.0 km, so that I'll stop posting those silly 1.9 ;)

Edit: It's interesting to note that the average of the two first pages was just 3.8 mile/post while the last two pages are 5.1 mile/post. This thread might actually have helped motivate people :D

Ran my first half marathon yesterday! Anyone else here from sydney run it?

1198 + 13.1 = 1211.1

Happy that I managed to keep a relatively even pace - all the 5km splits were within a minute of each other. Almost went under 100 minutes, but at least it's something to aim for next time!

Yeah, I know, 2 miles. Running with a spaniel gets stressful when everyone is out with picnics, food etc. I gave up and went home.

I can't run with the dog, and I have no idea how people run pushing strollers, either.

1262.6 + 8 = 1270.8

I usually run with the dog when I'm running at home. Seems a shame to go 8 miles and then have to walk the dog when I get back. He's a good running companion, doesn't get bored, want to go home or stop off in a pub and usually sticks near me. His one huge failing is picnics. That 8 miles was really difficult, thanks to the family picnic he raided at the 4 mile mark. You can't train him out of it. Positive reinforcement won't work because you can't reward him as much as the reward from the picnic. Negative reinforcement (shouting, scruffing, smacking his arse for him) has to be immediate, is likely to upset the already upset victims of the picnic raid and means you have to catch him first. So, this afternoon I'm off to buy a muzzle. He's never bitten anyone in his life but I'm not having him upsetting other peoples children by pinching their lunch.

I tried running with a stroller when my daughter was appropriately midgety, but only once. It was a nightmare.

(Finally, I edited my last post. I don't want to upset anyone who runs 2 mile stretches. Any distance you want to run is good, but I need to run further to counteract the fact that I have the metabolism of a three toed sloth, and yesterday I was being wetter than an otter's pocket. Sorry if I gave offense)

First run in a week. It was a bit miserable, honestly. Ran out of water with three miles to go, and my legs felt awkward the whole way.

I do on roads, pavements and built up areas, but I'm lucky that half my usual run is through open heathland & usually devoid of life other than rabbits, joggers, foxes and dog walkers. So I get to let him off the lead to gallop. He is pretty good at recall to voice. Unfortunately there is a little hard interrupt switch in his head labelled 'sandwiches'. Trust me, if it's a choice between running 8-10 miles with a dog on a lead or leaving him at home, he stays at home. We'd both be happier.
