Argh. When there's only one game going and you miss those signups… Oh for the days when the player base supported so many games you literally couldn't play them all...

i'll do a small simple one!

fun fact; I'm going to be in Sydney on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd. Anyone who wants to grab coffee let me know. I pretty much have no plans other than catching up with a guy I met at a couple of conferences.

other fun fact; getting a french visa is going to be a whole thing

other funner fact; assuming the aforementioned french visa works out, i'll be in Paris from May to November. Plan on travelling within the schengen area a bit. hit me up if that's you.

That can't work for very long before you get prodded, (we can't just have people not play) but you might hear some interesting speculation early on.

@SuicideJunkie: If game is expected to be unusually long because of new death-mechanics then that would be a good thing to advertize in advance. Especially as a Survivor I would have played somewhat differently if I didn't think that an 8-player game would not end in a couple of days.
Also from an IRL perspective I didn't expect a game that would probably last more than a month.

Golden Gun (Sabrar may read)
Spoiler:
Yes, I should have been more open about that. I expected more snooping and attacks, but the thread seems to have taken a tangent. I need to make the evening/night orders more streamlined too, to save time.

Golden Gun
Spoiler:
Why do I have to be the first one to die? And just when the real fun was about to start with bessie tunneling me.
I wonder how long it'll take for someone to notice...
I just have to get this out of my system:
<post I would've started writing if I weren't dead>

somitomi wrote: Just now (i.e. D3) and sorry if my planning skills were not up to your standards after 10 hours of lectures. I don't think the plan you propose is all that great though, for instance what if we have only two people with vig shots and both happen to be even numbered?
You’re totally right. Everyone with a vig shot should probably just claim.

I never said anything that could even remotely be understood as "all vigs should claim". The whole reason I had trouble formulating a plan was that I didn't want to out any of the vigilantes. For example I had this idea: everyone's target is one player down from them and if someone's assigned target is on the death list, they shoot. Say A->B, B->C, C->D and D->A and B is the scummiest so A shoots and the others don't. But then the death of B would reveal A has a vig shot.
best dog wrote:Not really. That was sarcasm.

Oh oh oh, did somitomi just rolefish at the end of that post?

I absolutely fucking didn't and you know that. I asked a hypothetical question about the plan.
best dog wrote:I was thinking party at Sabrar’s. But now I’m wondering why somitomi is subtly trying to move away from even/odd shooting at Mark and wam.

You can stop wondering because I'm not doing anything like that, I'm just subjecting your plan to some scrutiny. I'n also wondering why you're so fixed on this even/odd plan all of a sudden.
</post I would've started writing if I weren't dead>
Now I'll never know if I have the balls to OMGUS-FoS bessie over this...
Anyway, spoiler reading time...

Golden Gun:
Spoiler:
I am still confused by how any progress is supposed to be made considering the complete dearth of information available to players. Lynches don't work, kills don't work, flips don't give any info, and apparently nobody learns anything useful from investigating each other.

It's rather hilarious that most of the scummy players (Mark, wam) have been correctly identified despite this, but I attribute that more to meta than anything else.

Golden Gun
Spoiler:
Are people just pretending a lack of knowledge due to the format? Or are there really this many of today's lucky ten thousand in the thread despite the links in the OP?

All the people with info are being very possessive of it. Wiretaps and motion detectors and snoopings, though mostly at Bessie's place so far. "Flips" have lots of info, but you have to pay a visit to see it.
Kills work, but haven't been tried much. Sabrar wanted to shoot anyone who showed up at a site, on a night when nobody else went there. Poisoning at the one person's place who can detect it, and having the poison stolen immediately was some strange luck. The bulletproof vest is gone already.

Spoiler:
So, Rubicon has been crossed, and if Sabrar is an evil mastermind manipulating us into giving him a win, then he deserves it for actually knowing what is going on in this game. If by some chance Mark really is scum, D4 will be rather interesting.

In this case, Sabrar went up against a trump gun (pistol vs SMG) that was targeted back at him, and had to burn his escape-from-the-shootout flashbang.
Not a lot of defenses left in the game.

I knew I should've shot wam when I had the chance D1. I also should've kept my mouth shut about vigilantes, I have a feeling bessie was blown up for expertly reading between the lines and guessing the reason for my demise. Of course hindsight is just one year from now...

Knowledge of the Solex is a plausible reason for Bessie's demise. She never even got to use the bonus for mentioning it in thread.
On the other hand, knowing who did the deed, her anti-poison work on plytho being the reason is a much better hypothesis.

Spoiler:
My plan for E/N4: use my other transport which doesn't use ap to go back to Mark's place, use evasive tactics and a bunch of ap to snoop around, get the goods on him and go hands on if necessary. I'm also a bit suspicious of Sabrar's offer to have me visit his place during the night should he be arrested, makes me think he wants to frag me with a mine.

Your aggression in this game (particularly the start of D1) felt fake to me, which is why I made that read (I think it was in response to Sabrar saying you were very obvtown or something). As the game progressed it felt more natural. I guess you were actually a survivor of some kind?

I have no idea how I would proceed at this point in the game.

Spoiler:
So I guess I get to play Spy Hunter tonight. I will be submitting that I will run Mark to ground and shot him until he is dead, dead, dead.As I said in my post, I am confident enough to do this that I won't be invoking the "the Queen will be very disappointed in you if you shoot one of her agents." clause in my role PM.

Spoiler:
Interesting, I will need to think about this, and how this compares to my town and scum games. I'm not a survivor, quite the opposite. I'm Dr Gibson, the "NPC". I didn't have time to play so I took a role where it didn't matter if I couldn't post very much, or if I died. But with all the lurking, I turned out to be relatively active compared with everyone else. Hahaha, you, Zen, Vicarin, and jimbob aren't playing, Sabrar is lurky when he's non-town, poor plytho has no heavy posters to bounce things off of... :(

And, hey guys, WTF? Could I have been any more obvious that I had the Solex Agitatior?
