It seems there's been some confusion to the IRC game's time. Daylight savings and such. The game starts at 3PM EDT, 7PM GMT. Or, to simplify, when this link reads 15:00:00 June 19.

My work schedule just got drastically changed (my shift, the graveyard, was wiped out, I got moved to day). I only know when I am working this week. As soon as I know if I will still be available I will let you know.

So, my fellow mafia players, the grand day is drawing near! The Countries PYP is in less than a week, and the setup is being planned. It will quite possibly be open setup, and of course themed.

But, seeing as it started so long ago, I think people should confirm that they are still available. Please contact me via pm or such and confirm or cancel.

Also, South-African infrastructure being what it is, there is a position open for a backup-mod. Contact me if interested.

Note about the hitman. As there is a roleblocker each night the mafia have to choose a person to carry out the kill. If the person they chose is the hitman he can once off ensure that the kill will go through no matter what. (DGO will kill him, but will also die)

It all started when a very boring and badly attended meeting of the UN general assembly suddenly became very unboring. In the middle of a discussion on third world farming subsidies a group of extremists, who had managed to impersonate the countries actual representatives, assassinated the UN president of the general assembly.

However, through the mistake of using an incendiary hand grenade, they activated the building's fire-fighting measures, and everyone was sealed in the room. Sadly, with everyone except the president being asleep at the time of assassination (though they certainly were not after), no one had seen who the guilty party was.

As if being locked in a room with hand grenade wielding extremists was not bad enough, there was also a mysterious third party with it seems a bad case of resentment. Not to mention those using the distraction as a perfect time to settle a very long standing grudge.

For a solution to such a desperate matter they turned to the UN charter. It gave no advice. As the meeting was in America, they then turned to American law. As that didn't help they turned to colonial Texas law. And there they found an unorthodox solution. A lynch mob!


D1 lynch: AWRyder

In a first for an organization to promote world peace, someone is executed by lynch mob. Specifically, by hanging from a flagpole. However, with the whole lynchmob thing having dragged on far into the night, they decide to leave investigating the body for the morning. They weren't going to make classic horror movie mistakes after all.

As they wake up and investigate AWRyder they notice a startling thing! He has hammer and sickle underwear. And an official Tajikistan passport. Clearly he was one of the Soviet extremists. So it seems lynch mobbery helped there.

There was also less pleasant results. The assassins have struck again. Kolko was dead, blasted to bits by a the same type of grenade that killed the president. Seeing this the Turkish representative commit suicide, because he could no longer fufill his grudge against Kolko by getting him lynched. Kolko was Greece, and bio Turkey. Lynchers for each other.

AWRyder (Tajikistan) is dead and was mafia.
Kolko (Greece) and bio (Turkey) are dead and were a pair of lynchers.

D2 Lynch: MoA

Seeing how well lynching worked last time they felt a repeat would be good. This time they strung up MoA, again with a flagpole. Then they all took a nap on the chairs.


N2:

The town wakes up to an insanely loud buzzing noise. Startled they see Aardvarki's remains, caught in a death trap constructed out of vuvuzelas. It seems the South African representative was far too paranoid to be killed by night. Next to Aardvarki were several mini nukes and a "Biological warfare for dummies.".

More death awaits them though. PhoenixEnigma was crushed beneath a giant chandelier, who's attachment to the roof had been loosened. Sadly he was the Romanian representative, who could investigate to determine if someone was Soviet or not.

They then investigated MoA's corpse to find he was Argentina! Part of the South American masons.

Aardvarki was killed by the DGO. He was North Korea, and the hitman.
PhoenixEnigma was killed by the Serial Killer. He was the cop. (Romania)
MoA was Argentina, mason.

D3 lynch: Vieto

Even though they had lynched a valuable member of the assembly last time they tried again valiantly. This time Vieto hung.

N3:

They awoke to an odd sound. Well, at first at was odd, but now they're getting used to the sound of a person being hit with an incendiary grenade. If they ever made it out alive, they would all need intensive therapy. Crayboff, Andorra representative, was dead. Luckily for them though, he was a ninja mercenary. Out to kill them all, so that people would stop mocking Andorra for its small size.

However, in a last act of revenge he had taken down Tiffany. He had done so by distracting her and snapping her neck, which was rather gruesome. Thankfully, Tiffany was just Australia, who because of its past would investigate scum, so no great loss there.

Worse news came when they investigated Vieto. He was Iceland, who could protect a player each night by deploying ash around them.

Crayboff, Andorra SK was NK'd.
Tiffany, Miller, was NK'd.
Vieto was Iceland, doctor.

D4 lynch:

Even though they were finding out why the whole lynch mob thing wasn't the core of the modern justice system they persevered anyway. They strung up Kidko, hoping he would be the last before they could all sit back and have a relaxing cup of psych meds.

N4:
Spoiler:
They woke up shocked. There was no murder or mayhem, except for kidko, and he hardly counted being hung in the day. Surprised, but happy, they went further on their quest to find the remaining killer.

Kidko was Brazil, the other mason.

D5 lynch Brooklynxman:
Spoiler:
A final lynch they all hoped, and they strung up Brooklynxman on the last flagpole. Ironically one which carried the UN flag. As they hang him, they notice something... he was wearing a thick Russian coat, with a bottle of vodka in one pocket. And in the other a ton of grenades. He was the last killer! Colonial texas style justice had worked. They then all stepped out into the sunlight to greet the media circus and lived happily ever after in psych wards. Town win!

Brooklynxman was Russia, the final mafia. Town win!

Andorra, as a tiny country you are a bit upset by the little attention paid to you by the rest of the world. Even your neighbours mock you. But you've decided to show them all. You've sent, instead of a representative, a ninja mercenary. He is under orders to kill everyone at the conference to show the world you should be taken a little more seriously. Of course, being a mercenary, he waits for the bank transfer before he actually does anything. As you're a rather small country and he asks a rather large amount gathering the funds will take a bit.

Serial Killer. You can only start NK-ing people N2.

Argentina:
Arengtina, a South American country. Because of this, you and Brazil are good friends. To the point that you are on very good terms with the Brazil representative. You and he communicate at night. You also know he is on your side.

Town mason with <name>.

Australia:
Australia, with kangeroos, Opera houses and barbeques. But, because of your rather shady past as a prison colony, any cops investigating you will have you turn up as scum. Sorry 'bout that mate.

Town miller.

Brazil:
Brazil, a South American country. Thanks to good relations between Brazil and Argentine, you know the Argentine representative very well. You and he communicate during night. You also know he is on your side.

Town mason with <name>.

South Africa:
SA has a very high crime rate and of course, even worse, the infamous vuvuzela. To this end you, the rather paraniod SA representative, have put together a massive death trap based on the vuvuzela. Thankfully, due to the latest in face recognition, your death trap will only kill those who intend to do you harm.

Town Descerning Gun Owner.

Greece:
Greece, if there's one thing you hate it's the Turks. You hate them so very much. Your country has ordered you to get the Turkish representative lynched in the case that the assembly degenerates into a lynch mob. (Which was quite foresighful) However, the Turkish representative has the same aim in mind.

You are a lyncher for <name>. If he is lynched, you're also out of the game. But victoriously.

Iceland:
Iceland, with that whole Eyjathingymaboboawobble going on you haven't exactly been best at furthering travel. Your representative even came to the assembly with a baking soda miniture of the volcano. Every night you can deploy the miniture at a person's house, making any who wish them harm unable to reach them.

Town doctor.

Netherlands:
Netherlands, a very fun place to hang out. So much that your representative came to the assembly carrying with all the latest in recreational drugs. Once a night you can invite a person to hang out with you. They, of course, will remember nothing in the morning. Except that they didn't get around to any actions they planned to do in the night.

Town roleblocker.

North Korea:
North Korea, you don't have to look very hard to see why it's one of the most psychotic nations on Earth. Your representative didn't even need replacing by the extremist neo-soviet group. You have joined them to once more restore the greatness that was the United Soviet States of Russia. (They promised to give you H-bombs)

Mafia with <name> and <name>. You are also the once off hitman.

Panama: Panama, the lowest country in North America. Also very conviniently placed for shipping stuff. Your representative came to the assembly with all that was the latest in manafuctared goods. To the extend that you can replace any other person in the game should they be inconvinienced somehow.

Town Universal backup. You replace the first town power role that dies.

Romania:
Romania, if there's one thing you hate it's the Soviets. A pity then that it is Soviet extremists who are attacking the assembly. Thankfully, due to your history as a Soviet Sattelite state, you know all about the Soviet operatives. Each night you can investigate a person to see if they are in your record of Soviet agents.

Town cop. (You get mafia or not-mafia as a result)

Russia:
Russia, once the mighty Soviet Union. Of course, you are not the actual Russian representative. You are a replacement, sent after the neo-Soviet group kidnapped the real one. Kill everyone at the conference, and afterwards restore the greatness of the United Soviet States of Russia.

Mafia with <name> and <name>.

Tajikistan:
Tajikistan, once part of the Soviet Union. And hasn't fared well since. To the point that there's large support for a movement to recreate the USSR. You are an agent of this movement. Together with others, you have replaced the Tajikistan representative and assassinated the UN president of the general assembly. Kill everyone in the conference and restore the greatness of the United Soviet States of Russia.

Mafia with <name> and <name>.

Turkey:
Turkey, if there's one thing you hate it's Greeks. So very much. To the extend that you have carte blanche to kill the Greek representative in any legal way that represents itself. Very convinient to have the whole lynch mob thing then. You win if the Greek representative is lynched. However, beware, he has the same agenda.

Lyncher for <name>. If he dies you're also out of the game, but victoriously.

Panama wins the World Cup! ...Wait...we're not in the World Cup...=(
