8-Tower defence

A tower defence game where towers are moved based on player votes, and players can lose together if they don't defeat the enemy wave. However, all players have a secret win condition which gives you that mafia feel of deceit and bluff.

Sign-up and play here

Introduction to Mafia has been created in the general forum.

It's a game meant to introduce new players to Mafia concepts in a simplified way. The game doesn't use PMs, and Mafia can't talk to each other at night. A new spin is that you open a spoiler to get your role instead of the Mod assigning roles at random. It uses a system of communication where it's against the rules to open spoilers not directed at you, ala Gojoe Thread.

Coming soon: Deathless Mafia. For those who are tired of dying in mafia. Starring Zombies, Aliens, Cults, and more!
This game will be a bit complex, with custom roles, however the set-up will be open. So no bastard-modding. There will be alignment-changing roles like cults and recruiting masons. In fact, getting players to join your group is the main way to win, since no one can die. Instead of lynching, players vote to turn someone into a vanilla townie, making them town but also making them lose their power.

If someone does not want to play but does want to help balancing, that'd be appreciated.

I'd love to number crunch a game like that. I love Mafia games where nobody dies because it means people can keep playing till the end. I love the idea.

If someone is a member of a non-town group like a zombie or an alien, and then the player is turned into vanilla townie by a vote, what is to stop them from outing all of their zombie or alien teammates?

Deathless, @New User (Spoil'd for analysis of a game that hasn't even started yet, I don't know how okay that is as it might give players an advantage ahead of time):
Spoiler:
Once you're town, you'd win by having town control the vote. Outing all of your ex-teammates doesn't help you achieve this (necessarily) because that information just gives other factions a list of priority recruitment targets. As VT, you pose no threat to other factions except for your vote, so you're a low-priority recruitment target because you have less ability to reduce the size of other factions.

I might be interested in that game, it's more complex than I'm used to though. It would depend on how confident I felt in my abilities when sign-ups started.

It's ok to read, the game hasn't started.

I think I will make a sign-up thread soon so we can discuss these things in the thread instead of here.

Seems Spacklick is not around, so is there anyone else who knows they don't want to play in my upcoming Deathless game but still wants to give feedback on the set-up?

Since signups are getting awkward now, I've decided not to make a sign-up thread for Deathless but I will use this thread instead, stay tuned.

I'm not sure why username decided to do both, but usually signups go either here or in their own thread (with a posted link here). You'll probably want to use the thread in this case.

Re: Sign-ups (for PLAYERS)

Dollhouse Mafia

I intend to run this with a closed setup (but no bastardry). I'd like to have around 9-12 participants but if more players should sign up quickly then I will write some additional roles, so don't take it as a hard limit.
The game should start during the first week of February, if you're flavor-blind the upcoming 2 weeks are excellent for watching the series which I can heartily recommend.
Length of the days will depend on the number of participants, nights will be handled similar to Smalltown and Secret Santa.
Please let me know if I missed something or you have any questions.
