Newpix should use the metric system. Kilonewpix, centinewpix, etc.
An infinite amount can be known as Time.

Here's my guess:

They, being Cueball and Megan, will build trebuchets. And bombard the two sandcastles with whatever a trebuchet hurls.

Or, Black Hat will come around and take over the One True Sandcastle (assuming he has control over the other) with his army of Red Spiders.

1) Randall is the primal Creator, who brings us the glory of Time in it's fullest.

2) The two dates of the beginning and the end of Time shall become the holy dayapix of this religion.

3) The final newpix shall signal the completion of the wondrous message of our Creator.

4) This religion will draw in followers relentlessly, for the glory of Time is endless.

If it's given that a comic is something funny, the thing I find funniest about this comic is the speculation about its esoteric hidden meanings.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
"It's only funny until someone loses an eye, then it's still funny but they can only see it in 2-D."

Lord Randall is the Creator. He created the Sandcastle and its People to show us His Power.
We merely watch His People.

The First, as there may not be a Last.

We don't know. Only Lord Randall knows if, and when, there will be an End, and how it will be like.

Not celebrities, but companies.
We can DDoS their servers.

My list would be more practicable. Metric was created for practicability. We just have our own, very unique, special system that needs measured.

Are we still watching the One Comic or just arguing over religious specifics?

So is newpix the smallest standard unit of time? Can I go off for a quarter newpix to make a snack?

Isn't that the way of all religions? We get so caught up in the specifics, we lose sight of the true meaning of the faith.

not to call all y'all heretics on my first post (long time lurker to the one true thread and the one true comic, and all that yada yada)....

but wouldn't the xkcd wiki be the one true word of the one true creator and his original apostles? just sayin.

p.s. loving this thread/comic! ...time to go catch a bus home before the newpix arrives. don't post anything interesting until i return! (who am i kidding).

After the end of Time we should have a weekly ceremony lasting a single newpix. Where we reflect on a moment in Time, and how it changes us.

Let us regain our focus and discuss The One Comic (to rule them all?)

How far will the Great Sandcastle stretch?

On topic, I wonder how large the second castle is? Megan has been shown to be a fast builder and they have both spent nearly as much time on the second castle as the first. I would not be surprised if the second castle is larger than the first.

It's strange. The One True Comic moves at a slower pace than reality (or does reality move faster than tOTC?) and the thread is moving faster than reality. In a matter of days we've started laying foundations for a new a unique culture. How long did it take mankind (y'allkind) to start developing language and religion? I don't know if I'm more curious about the evolution of the comic or thread. I guess I'll just have to wait for it.

The only problem with such a passage is that the word "Sleep" itself is a corrupt Outsider debasement. the appropriate phrase should be the absence of Newpix, or the missing of newpix.

That pretty long for a motto...

More like a creed. The Catholic's Nicene Creed is ungodly long.
Pun intended.

It's strange. The One True Comic moves at a slower pace than reality (or does reality move faster than tOTC?) and the thread is moving faster than reality. In a matter of days we've started laying foundations for a new a unique culture. I don't know if I'm more curious about the evolution of the comic or thread. I guess I'll just have to wait for it.

This is real (unless we are collectively hallucinating) so we're moving at the speed of reality - reality just moves faster than one would expect. I think you'll agree that truth is stranger than the strangest fiction.

And the evolution of this thread is utterly fascinating. This is at least in part due to the collective sleep deprivation caused by this comic.

And thus begins the Singularity.

Wow...

...when I stumbled out of bed this morning, I had no idea I'd accidently a meme, let alone inadvertently a religion.
