Interesting. Google Chrome translates that word into the idiom "leg up" in English, as in "He gave her a leg up." But that's a more of a generic expression in English, and not a specific technique like that Wikipedia article refers to. I'm definitely going to use the German word should I see an opportunity on the Outside. :)

Might just be the Americanized version of English I've learned, but I don't think I've seen it written with a hyphen in the middle like that. To me, at least, it's two distinct words, "leg up."

From the Wikipedia article: "The rock hyrax occurs across sub-Saharan Africa, with the exception of the Congo basin and Madagascar." And I don't think that's me in the picture.

Cueball, come on! That move doesn't look too bad, and there's no runout. There have to be cracks in that rock because I see plants growing. Get a hand in a crack, and walk your boots up, smearing or edging, whichever is easier, until you have stable footing again. Don't turn back at the first scrambly bit!

(Prediction: Megan will coach Cueball. And the next contretemps will be the first moment when Cueball gets a sense of exposure: also known as the "OMR, I've climbed up that? Yikes, it's a heck of a long way down!. " moment. Watch him hug the rock and freeze up in a panic attack.

I mostly lurk, but I've stuck with the OTC this long, I am not going to let anything stop me now. So, yeah, I'll be here, mostly quiet, occasionally vaguely misquoting dramatic lines from Doctor Who, until the end of Time.

Although I tend to be a Randallversalist, I'd like to go along with tenrec (molprec? tenpy?) here, if only to keep us in the dark about location for some more Time. I didn't find detailed habitat descriptions for the lesser hedgehog tenrec, but the greater hedgehog tenrec lives in a wide range of habitats and has an altitudinal range of sea1 level to around 1,280 q as1l.

First things first.
Molpy!
BlitzGirl wrote:Where's mscha? Must be a-coma, he'll be sad to have missed such a big molpy:

Indeed I am. Image Luckily, you're doing a great job holding the sandcastle in my absence. Thanks!

Hedgemolpy or molpypine? It's a bit too big for the former, and on the small size for the latter. It's about ⅓ cue, from nose to (absent) tail, that's [Outside]about 60 cm, or 2 feet[/Outside].

Not only have I missed the Molpy, but the OTC is also teasing us with the journey's end. Image (I don't think any of us believe this is the end of the OTC, which increases the chance that it is...)
So why not go around it? As someone (no time to look up) noted, they do indeed walk through a 3-D landscape, so they can move up or down a little (as they did to avoid the Snake!).

@AluisioASG: great job on the Last Time Waiter! Your ‘reboot’ has definitely improved the story, it's much clearer what's going on now.

@jjjdavidson: awefulsome visual representation! (I'm always a bit embarrassed to be at the top of the list, though...)

@Jonas79: thanks for the panorama update. You can really see them getting close to the mountains.

Finally, re: prime numbers: if I understand correctly (after glancing at the article, no time to read it now), the 70 million is an upper bound on the difference between two primes in a prime pair, not necessarily on the gap between any two successive primes. (As the prime number density keeps decreasing for larger numbers, there can't be such an upper bound.) So, “there will never be more than 70 million newpix between prime frames” is not a true statement – in theory.

This'll have to do for now.

Journey's end? Who does Cueball think he is kidding? Perhaps it is just to suggest that their current journey on that particular path is over, and they once again change direction to avoid the obstacle. Though, it would be a simple matter to throw their packs up, and Megan can give Cueball a leg up over the boulder, he pulls her up, and they are on their merry way.

And yes, that is how I have always used leg up (as well as the generic idiom to mean advantage). Such as "Hey, Johnny. Hurry and give me a leg up over this wall, will yeah?" Also, I think the rock molpy is AnotherKevin. How come he gets to be in the OTC?

I'm getting closer to 1/4 q for pokeymolp length: 26cq.

In Outside reckoningH:
Assuming average male height of 1.72m, this would make the pokeymolp 18.7 cm long, or about 7.36".
According to wikipedia: "The four-toed hedgehog is an oval-bodied animal between 15 and 25 centimetres (5.9 and 9.8 in) in length."
So, pretty normal size for a hedgehog.

It's a good thing you're an English, not math, major. Image (What's 172 * 0.26?)
Still, your numbers (45 cm, 1'5.6")H are slightly lower than mine, which is closer to normal for a hedgehog.
Also, our cue to heresy ratio is just a guess, if they're kids, it'd be even closer.

So... Cueball gives up in the previous newpix, and only one newpix later, he changes his mind.
Oh well, at least it's not the End of Time. Image
