I stopped an OTT elder along the way
Hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies
He turned to me as if to say, "Hurry boy, We’re waiting there with you"

As I post about how wonderful this is, you should know that I stopped my music, opened up Slacker Radio, and queued up "Africa" so that I might sing your version in my head along with the music. Wonderful!!

There are some minor mis-statements in the discussion of Twin Primes above. The wikipedia, as usual has information, including recent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_prime

k.bookbinder's portion of the ‘leg up’ discussion:
Though, it would be a simple matter to throw their packs up, and Megan can give Cueball a leg up over the boulder, he pulls her up, and they are on their merry way.

And yes, that is how I have always used leg up (as well as the generic idiom to mean advantage). Such as "Hey, Johnny. Hurry and give me a leg up over this wall, will yeah?" Also, I think the rock molpy is AnotherKevin. How come he gets to be in the OTC?

Giving someone a leg over a wall, onto a horse, out of a pit, etc. is where the generic idiom came from. And AnotherKevin posted a denial almost as soon as the hedgehog theory came up. Suspicious? Methinks perhaps the Molpy doth protest too much...

mscha wrote:
Also, our cue to heresy ratio is just a guess, if they're kids, it'd be even closer.
I first read that as meaning the molpys might be kids; my first reaction was, ‘no, you've got the math backwards there,’ and my second was, ‘wait, they're goats?! Where did that theory come from?!’

Oh! Well this is certainly a first for me. It looks as though I may be the page Pope for 830. Hm. I like that number. Adds up to nice prime 11. Not that that is particularly significant, but I'm sure someone here can make something of that.

I've not thought of any 830 Papal Decrees. As such, I shall sit at the top of the page looking benevolent and magnanimous until I think of something. Carry on.

The molphog (nah, we shouldn't call it that) imitates Cuegan, as he's climbing a rock too. Or Cuegan imitates the molpyrax (now come on). It's all connected. Molpymole (hmmn) is a scaled version of the relationship between Megan and Cueball. So when Cuegan meets moppel (don't know bout that) I predict an awkward situation. Or a Kaffeekränzchen with lots of cake.

My own decree idea, ninja'd by Neil_Boekend. To the iron foam maiden!!

*clears throat*

As Prime Pope of Page 830, I shall exercise my Papal Supremacy and decree that no such papal decree shall be decried on page 830. So as I decree so shall it be done.

Heads up to the math-o-philes and math-o-phobes. Later today I will present a discursion on what is important in mathematics that relates to the recent Twin Prime discussion. I need to go teach Tai Chi now, so it will need to wait a bit. But gather round. I will make bold claims and paint with a broad brush. The phobes will be enlightened. The philes will be primed to FTFM. It will be enlightening for all. It will be free.

Actually the most important element of math is that, in 3-part jokes, the mathematician always gets the best lines. I'd post some, but I'll leave that to someone w/ less shame than me.

According to wiki: "The rock hyrax is found across Africa and the Middle East, in habitats with rock crevices in which to escape from predators."

I totally read that as Middle Earth, and not Middle East. As such, I take it as a sign from the GLR, and dub rock-molpy as being a rock hyrax in Time. Therefore, I proclaim that it shall be henceforth be called rock molpyrax...rock molpyx? Yes, that rolls off the tongue more easily, and makes it more Pokémon Molpémon sounding, which makes me smile. Rock molpyx it is.

Of course, my authority ends with 830, so enjoy the rock molpyx while you can, for on 831, it may yet be something else entirely. Perhaps I should change my song...

Because it is based off of the song "Africa" and most people are speculating that the OTC takes place somewhere in Madagascar or Africa Proper.

Okay definitely not asleep. And probably not a dead molpypinehog. Unless it's normal for molpypinehogs to stand on top of their deceased.

So you are wrong. I am Page Pope and I say so. On page 830 it is a rock molpyx, known to the Outside as a rock hyrax. See previously posted Papal proclamation.

Notice that Megan climbing the big rock and the molpy climbing the little rock are paralleling each other.

Speculation: we don't know what kind of bag of tricks they have in those packs. They may at some point reach a shear cliff wall taller than the both of them put together, and things seem hopeless until Megan produces rope, hammers, and some metal pegs or stakes that can serve as makeshift pitons. They didn't set out planning to go mountain climbing but that doesn't mean they aren't prepared for it.

One advantage of climbing the mountain, it should quickly settle the issue of how many rivers there are nearby. No better terrain map than a view from high elevation.

I do believe that, in the past, there was speculation as to whether or not the bags which they possess were bags of holding, and, therefore, who could say what they may contain. Should such a situation occur, it may aid in such speculation.

Hey, 2Lumps is related, too!

Ahem! Yesterday I theorized:
Porcupines are pretty big, but it could be a juvenile. The face bothers me, though, it looks distinctly hedgehoggish to me. Lesser tenrec? http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lesser_hedgehog_tenrec

and
If the critter didn't look so spiky I'd be leaning toward hyrax again; didn't think to look up the whole set before. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyrax

Forgive me if I'm a little crabby today, Little Bear just got moved to a toddler bed (population pressure) and fell out of it twice last night. We had cushioned the floor just in case he did and he never actually woke up, but I'm tired!!!

sbn, I really hope The Enchanter (they call him...Tim?) doesn't see that lawnspiderbot!

Wow, the present. I've made it back and I've missed so much.

I've missed the WOWterfall (jaw dropping, really), new molpies, and Cueball trying to quit on us. But most of all, I've missed my tribe.
