Regarding the conference: I may be there (current status 0.25), but I've got a lot else on around then, so I don'tb think I can realistically find time for a speech. Still, thanks to a recent promotion at my GFS (games funding source), I'll have sufficient spare cash to make my way over.

Hey All....

I've been unavoidably sidetracked. Life m*stard that included car m*stard and MAJOR computer m*stard.a

One good thing though, my work replaced their computers and gave away all the old ones (after work stuff was removed, of course.) That's what I'm using right now a brand used computer (as opposed to a brand new one). I was getting everything up-to-date and thought I'd poke in here. As usual I have not a clue what's going on, since this a blind post.

I did see HAL9000 on fora when I started typing this. Hi HAL. LOOONNNGGG time no see.

And SBN according to the preview. Hi SBN. How's the wolpies?

@ balthasar_s A question about the Mirror site. If I go back and update an old post here, will that update make it to the mirror? [It turns out I had a HUMBleb moment when I made my last manip. I misspelled something. I hope I can retrieve the correction.]

But because of all the m*stards I've had, it looks pretty definite I can't be going to the meet-up in Germany. Basically any $$'s I might have been able to use have gone to repairs. And even with some type of miracle, there's still getting a passport in time. *sigh* I did want to go. But I guess I can look-in via web-cam, right?

I'm going to keep lurking in and more news from me over the next few days.

a I got something called a "Cypto-Lock Virus". I had to have my computer's OS wiped and reloaded. Lost bunches of stuff. {Still working on finding out what I do have on an external drive, since one folder is infected, but the other isn't. The uninfected folder has the accumulation of all of my stuff since I started and in particular: the last two years (all my Time stuff.)}

b Head Up My Butt, look everyone....

[Jimi smiley on info on external drive]

ETA:
And on submit, I'm the only one *sigh*

So what is the max max, cuz you can only use each tag once, right?

That one uses four "size=200" tags, including the ones around the original text. Let's see...
Spoiler:
c.

Here's one using seven "size=200" tags.
Spoiler:
    c.

The lowercase c is very big.

Code looks like this:

Code: Select all

c.
Lots of different tags = lots of opportunities to multiply.
However, one type of tag on the fora is nestable, the "quote".
Even seaisher c, built exclusively of quotes...nine "size 200" tags used:
Spoiler:
c.

Code: Select all

c.

In theory, you could keep nesting quotes forever. There is no "max max." But there's a practical problem in terms of screen real estate. Some of you might not be able to see that quoted c at all, depending on your window size and zoom. Its own seaishness makes it too big for your browser. You can make text as seaish as you want, but nobody else will be able to read it without some extra effort, like zooming out or quoting your post.

Hm. Bionicle reboot. May have to buy a few, I was really into those when I was younger (read: up until they ended the series and switched to those lame Hero Factory things).

The first Bionicles I encountered were two of the Bohrok, but they were my brother's. My first Bionicles were Gali and Pohatu. The only three sets I managed to get all six of were the Visorak (those spider-thingies with the ripcord propellor disks), the swamp-themed ones (from the year before Glatorian started), and the first set of the Glatorian. The only set I have zero of was set 2 of the Glatorian, because by then I was sorta disappointed with that plot arc.

Ah, this takes me back. I miss my Bionicles now. I'll have to take a few back with me when I return to college from winter break.

If it was on the last few newpages it will be updated on the end of the day. unless it's on th last two, then it will wait until it isn't. If its more in the past it will need some time (maybe a few weeks?) to get updated. The reketchup is currently on np1803. (http://moonbase.chirpingmustard.com/ott/log/bot2.log.1)

Well research'd! Thanks. I'm not sure that nesting quotes should count, as the message is muddled in a sea of "Quote"'s. (Weird phrasing I just did there.) It kinda seems like 7 might be my browser's limit. They don't look bigger after that.

And SBN according to the preview. Hi SBN. How's the wolpies?

a I got something called a "Cypto-Lock Virus". I had to have my computer's OS wiped and reloaded. Lost bunches of stuff. {Still working on finding out what I do have on an external drive, since one folder is infected, but the other isn't. The uninfected folder has the accumulation of all of my stuff since I started and in particular: the last two years (all my Time stuff.)}

ETA:
And on submit, I'm the only one *sigh*

Keep Waiting, All You Very Fine Folks...

Wolpies are confused. Happy currently, because I'm where they are, but they know something's up.

Those ransomware viruses are the worst.

And sorry, but coma was calling. I might not always be online, but I'm always waiting. (Does that sound creepy? I think it sounds creepy. It's not meant to sound creepy.)
My new WFFS actually keeps me busy, but that's a good thing.

Yum, pizza! I would help but I don't think I'm in your general vicinity.
I don't have any OTTers in my general vicinity.
