Didn't Monty Python release a 3-sided record? There were two grooves that spiraled around each other, so that depending on where you put the needle down you'd get one track or the other.

The Python of Monty did make
a three sided record to take
advantage of people who
count only up to two
sides on a disk that's not fake.

You wanted Jar Jar with a saw
Well, here he has one in his paw.
Did you want it more bloody?
Or with no Lego buddy?
Or to have Jar Jar in the saw's maw?

Thanks for the awesomeful blitz report, balthablitzer! And yay for more TimeWorld discussion!

Update to Sandgarden: You can now prune it by selecting objects and hitting the little delete button. This should allow a little more choice in how the gardens grow.

Or, in other words:

When things aren't growing your way
You now have been given a say.
You click on a thing,
Delete it, and ding!1
There's space to keep baobabs at bay.

A blitzreport and BlitzGirl's ketchup
Are like putting an OTT sketch up.
When a post makes me swoon,
E.g. mrob's great tune,
Then I realize there's no need to kvetch up.def

defKvetch up: To ketchup while complaining. Or maybe to complain while ketching up. I think it was coined by BlueCrab. If I wasn't too lazy at work, I would look those things up.

ETA Yay, thanks so much, taixzo! I was waiting for it that. And presented with a limerick to boot! :D

Edited to make the footnote look more footnotey.

Yay for deletion in the Sand Garden! I kept meaning to mention that I really wanted that feature-1, but I keep forgetting.

Cue discussion about exactly what kind of noise should be made, be it a ding, a dong, a bong, a molpy, or a grapevine.

...and whether or not the noise should happen only if it is on the ONG.

Well, I plan to make my own sounds anyway. I'm leaning towards a "pew pew"1700 effect, but a cheerful "ding" might be appropriate48 as well.

Decree - Limericks aren't really my specialty3, but sometimes I have written more orderly stuff9. I do a lot better with free-form ramblings12 as long as the flow "feels"sounds right to me.

I have just now, 19 April 2016 14:14 Pacific Daylight Savings Time registered to the xkcd forum to follow this commandment.

I wonder if the station is till up and active three years after the OTC has been. I'll see in some three or four months or so as I continue my archival dive/blitz at about ~25 newpages per work day. If anybody is still out there to see this, "HI".

Cool beer? Better than warm.

Postby Eternal Density » Tue Apr 19, 2016 10:32 pm UTC

I want to play in the Zanclean Flood Generator.
I really loved my times in the wave pool at Jamberoo Action Park, which is within reasonable driving distance if you leave early and plan to get home later.
They also have a fun water ride built around an extremely seaish funnel-web spider. You get dropped into the funnel, well not you alone but up to six people in a circular inflatable raft, not a glider.
The pic of me by the sea posted by Strom Angle is likely of me looking out for molphins, as there definitely was not an alligator.

 At first I was going to say, "Me too!" but now I think I won't.

I am getting a chuckle at the thought of you sitting alone at your desk going "pew, pew!"pew

And in Sand Garden news, baobabs!
Image
Well, a baobab, anyway. I like the little floating tree and the airraftcastle. I have a cluster of floating trees up in the the right corner I can't get rid of, so they'll just hang out there. :)

ETA And look, my picture is full size! Thanks, BlitzGirl!

ETA2 Apparently I'm going to keep finding errors and editing this post.

Speaking of errors, a ride built around a huge arachnomolpy is just wrong.

There's not a good reason to fear.

But prepare to get wet
Also I made my posts rhyme like a limerick but getting the meter right would take all year.

Why did I feel compelled to look up images of funnel-web spiders? What's wrong with me?

Pardon me while I go and walk of this particular case of the willies.

ETA for decree:
Now, why did I have to go do it?
Why on earth did I put myself through it?
ED mentioned a ride
That had spiders inside
So I looked them up, and now I rue it.
