spamjam, I write very little because almost always nobody responds. But I still read, and eventually they do.

Yeah, wth? Do NOT make me come over there. I will turn this thread around if you all don't start behaving!

spamjam, there's a lot of stuff posted. People can't respond to everything. I've posted stuff that no one's responded to. Sometimes people respond many newpix later. And I've seen stuff that I never responded to, 'cuz I forgot or whatever.

mscha, the reason for delaying the bot was not so that people had to ONG and respond to every newpix, but so they could at least have the chance to post a GONG if they wanted to. And I nobody told you what to post. Several people just voiced their frustration that they bot was affecting what they could post.

I'm hoping that everyone's just grumpy due to lack of coma. I shall now coma, and when I wake up to the future newpix, I expect everyone to be cheerful and happy again.** Or else!!!

**And we'll know who this mysterious visitor is.

Edited: Oh, uh, hello, Blitzgirl! Well, this is an awkward time for you to stop by. Heh heh, pay no attention to that friendly little squabble. Why don't you just have seat in that chair that tman2nd pulled up for you, and have a nice glass of nut punch.

I'm surprised it's taken this long for them to attract any attention, as it happens. I know if I started building a castle of this size, complete with a second level suspended above, I'd have more than a few bystanders hanging around, no matter how deserted the beach... It can't be too far from civilisation, given the ready availability of building supplies!

Maybe Megan's is dreaming and remembering being a little beret-wearing girl? And now she's here, seeing what -with Time - her older self will make...

Depends on the intentions.
The last n* sand castles I built where build as targets for The Little Hand's Deconstruction Powers.
Tower lifetime something about 10 seconds. 20, if decoys are placed.

Quite ... I don't even get chance to finish building before my own little one destroys them again... The trouble is, I'd feel embarrassed playing on a beach engineering sand structures without them around as an excuse to do so.

Maybe Beret Guy grew his hair out. Or, if this character is shorter, maybe Beret Guy took pixels from his legs and made them into hair.

And while we're on the subject, I don't see why we don't call 'Cueball' Rob by default, considering he looks just like him, and we assume the character that looks just like Megan is Megan.

Edit: Hang on! Yeah, you're right, it's BlitzGirl! How come I didn't see the similarity before? She's travelled in time and now she's travelled into another dimension(ality?) Better get out my party noisemaker thingy! *phwooooooooooob*

Start with cups, then bricks (LEGO Primo or sth. like that). It's less messy, but much noisier ==> More fun.

And I'd suggest to stick to Petite (dropping the article).
It refers to both her French looks and her interpreted youth.

The appearance of la Petite, for me, is an indication of the level of maturity that this thread has reached. If she had appeared at the beginning of day five instead of week five, the forum posts would have been all, "OMGGWTFBBQ!!1! It's the End of Time! Randall's pregnant! Cue the raptors/tsunamis/BHG!"

But after four solid weeks of (apparently) only two characters, a third character walks into frame and everybody's going, "Hey, cool. A kid. Let's give her a name."

It can't be that we're all just that jaded--we'd have quit coming here if we were. So I can only view our calm acceptance of la Petite as a sign of growing maturity. (Naturally, this post will provoke a variety of hysterical outbursts. Sigh...)

I must wonder, however, about the sheer number of naps that Megan is taking. When my wife was pregnant, her MTBN dropped noticeably.

We don't know that she's napping any more than Cueball (Rob?), there's a good chance he's been sleeping the whole time he's been off-screen.
Also, we don't really have a grip on Inside time. On the one hand, it hasn't been dark, and the tide has only gone up, which suggests that it's been only one day (or in fact at most 6 hours), but on the other hand, there's no way they can have built all of this within a single day.

Needing to nap can be a first sign of pregnancy, so the not climbing memo may not yet have been issued. Not sure the pregnant brain can construct anything that complicated though.

After being away for what seems like utter MEGApix (50ish), I agree with this. This has seriously taken on a life of its own much more than I ever expected. I do honestly see this going on for months and months. I revel in the fact that if it ever ends, it could not be experienced in the same way again. GIFs could be shown in the TATE, but it wouldn't be the same. Not unless you had all fora pages printed out next to the GIF monitor and could only skip to the next frame once it appeared in the pages. Even then, it wouldn't have the madness and speculation.

I also imagine a gallery exhibition of all the top-voted newpix with massive writing across the walls, "SEMENCAFFIENATEDCANCERBABIES".
Yup, NYT front page.
We can do it.

(also, I think the arrival of la Petite calls for a new Period)

"Cueball" has had several names, especially if you go way back! He's been James Bond and even Mr. Munroe! There are even more, but I can't be bothered do not have the Time to look them up.

So isn't it better and less complicated to keep Cueball for now?
